It’s here! One of the most (if not THE most) anticipated Android devices of 2018 — the Samsung Galaxy Note 9! And it’s got a ton of wonderful features that’ll really make you want to get your hands on it soonest!
I recently attended the Samsung Local Unpacked Event which was held at the Marriott Hotel Manila this evening. And since the actual launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was done in a different country with a different time zone, we folks here in Manila had to stay up quite late in the evening to watch the actual live-stream. So, Samsung prepared a function room at the hotel for us and made us comfortable and ready for the event.
It’s finally here! Samsung’s latest and greatest Galaxy Note model is upon us — the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 — and you can be among the first ones to have this incredible mobile device through Globe Telecom.
Are you ready for the BIG REVEAL of the Samsung Galaxy S6 which happens in a couple of hours? If you’re an avid Android/Galaxy fan, you should be.
Based on leaks and recent speculations, two models of the Samsung Galaxy S6 is expected to be launched during this BIG event – one model that looks quite similar to the previous Galaxy S5 and another model that boasts of a curved screen just like the Galaxy Note Edge (which is pretty darn cool, I must say).
Both units are rumored to now have metal bodies – a major change from the quite unpopular plastic bodies of their previous models.
Can’t wait to see which of these speculations hold true during the Samsung Galaxy S6 Launch and what other bells and whistles the S6 will have.
Will the new Samsung Galaxy S6 be your next smartphone? Will it have what it takes for you to make the switch from an iPhone? Who knows.
Let’s find out together, shall we? It happens tonight at around 1AM Philippine Time.
Make sure to bookmark this site and come back here at around 1:00AM (MNL) tonight (March 2, 2015) and join me as I do my LIVE BLOG when Samsung unveils the latest flagship smartphone for all the world to behold – The Samsung Galaxy S6!

There are cunning thieves and there are stupid ones. Either way, you should still be careful of both kinds.
I chanced upon a story from a friend (Vince Golangco of When In Manila) which, according to him, happened just a couple of days ago. I’d like to share it with all of you in hopes that maybe we could still find this opportunistic ass who victimized a kind-hearted Yolanda volunteer at Villamor Airbase.
You see, Vince’s friend was hard at work volunteering at the airbase welcoming Super Typhoon Yolanda victims, providing relief. We all know how frantic and busy it is over there at Villamor because of the ongoing relief efforts while these volunteers are doing an amazing job comforting our fellow Pinoys.
It’s just so sad and disappointing that amidst all the love and kindness being provided by these volunteers, there are still some people who would choose to take advantage of the vulnerability of these kinds of situations.
Apparently, one guy went to Villamor Airbase not to GIVE of himself… but to TAKE personal items that aren’t his instead!
Great news to all Ironman 70.3 fans and participants alike!
Do you want to share your 2013 Ironman 70.3 Philippines experience and get a chance to win a prepaid mobile phone unit from Globe Telecom? Just tweet or post your pictures using the #GlobePowersIronManPH hashtag from August 3-4, 2013.
As soon as preparations for the exciting event begin, all participants — athletes, crew, and spectators can already start telling the world about what’s happening by logging in to Twitter or Instagram.
Participants with the most number of unique Twitter posts and best photo shared via Twitter or Instagram by the end of the two-day contest period using the official hashtag will each take home a Samsung Galaxy Note 2. They will be notified by Globe once tally is made.
“We want to show the world that in the Philippines, Ironman is not just about sports. It’s a lifestyle event where everybody can have fun. And what better way to do it but provide all participants a wonderful digital experience using Globe high-speed broadband internet connection so they can log in at social networking sites anytime they want,” said Yoly C. Crisanto, Head of Globe Corporate Communications.
Globe, which is a strong supporter of Ironman 70.3 Philippines since it was introduced locally in 2009, is relying on the power of social media to bring the message to the world that Ironman is entertaining and enjoyable.
For this year’s Ironman 70.3 Philippines, about 2,150 participants from 35 countries worldwide are expected to join either the individual or relay competition composed of swimming (1.9 kilometers), biking (90 kilometers) and running (21 kilometers) activities.
The most number of foreign delegates is expected to come from Singapore, followed by Japan, Australia, US, and Hong Kong.
Whoa! Globe seems to have started showcasing their vast array of LTE(Long Term Evolution) compatible smartphones just recently. Handsome gadgets, if I may add.
Have you seen them? Don’t fret if you haven’t yet… I’ve got ya covered.
But first things first… for the benefit of those who don’t quite understand what LTE is or how it can radically transform one’s mobile surfing lifestyle, allow me to provide you with a quick and brief explanation of what Long Term Evolution is.
LTE has long been seen as the first advancement towards stronger, faster and more efficient 4G data networks. How fast? Verrrrrryyyy FAST! LTE offers wonderful advantages over our present 3G systems such as higher throughput, plug and play compatibility, and low latency. The technology also means Long Term Evolution can work on higher bandwidth networks without any loss of throughput.
Alright… by now you probably already have a better grasp of what LTE is. It is also understood that, just like 3G and 3G-compatible devices, in order to enjoy everything that LTE has to offer, one has to be using a smartphone that uses LTE technology as well.
No problemo. As promised, here they are… check out Globe’s impressive lineup of LTE-enabled phones:
