I’m really happy with how my case turned out. I actually sent the image/design I wanted to the cool guys at “The Diff” and they did the awesome work of fitting it in and making it look awesome.
If you happen to be using a Windows Phone 8, you’re probably having a hard time looking for a decent alternative to Instagram’s native app which (still) isn’t available on the Windows platform.
If you’re still looking, check out the app called “6tag”.
It does everything Instagtam’s native app can do – tag people, like, video, comment, link to Twitter, Foursquare & Facebook (among others). Plus, on its recently released version, you can now also regram and use live tiles.
Yesterday, I was at the launch of Huawei’s Windows 8 smartphone called the “Ascend W1”.
It was a pretty intimate event at the PBCom Bldg. in Makati with select people from media together with Huawei and Microsoft executives.
When I was invited to attend, I was given prior information that this particular device was going to be positioned to target the lower-end market. This actually made it quite interesting for me considering the onslaught of dirt-cheap Android devices that have overrun the country. It is high time that a Windows Phone 8 should emerge within the same price bracket to mix it up with the rest of ’em.
Most, if not all Windows 8 devices in the market are still quite pricey which makes it a tad difficult for those who find the new Microsoft smartphone OS enticing but are held back due to its cost.
The Huawei Ascend W1 is perhaps the answer to that problem.
With a 5-Megapixel Rear Camera with LED Flash, a 1.2GHz Dual-Core Snapdragon Processor, an impressive screen display, a 1950mAh battery which they claim can last over a day on heavy use, and so much more, the Huawei Ascend W1 seems like a wonderful meld of smartphone features and affordability – and it retails for only (ready?) Php 8,990.00.
I recently heard through the grapevine that there is one local smartphone brand that blatantly ignores the alarming excessive radiation their units emit. Disturbing and very scary.
I’ve got some reeeeeally cool footage of a handsome prototype unit which my|phone is calling the “A898”!
I was hanging out with my good friends from my|phone at “Aruba” (Metrowalk) earlier, celebrating the birthday of my|phone president (and a fun dude to be with), Mr. Jaime Alcantara(Happy birthday, Jaime!)
During the party, I had the opportunity to tinker with the A898 prototype. Lemme tell ya, guys… this new smartphone is an absolute winner – looks, speed, performance, features, and yes… PRICE!
If you’re looking for a “Pinoy phone” that can truly go head-to-head with other high-end devices on the market, this is IT.
The my|phone A898 has some really awesome features. Here are a few of them (based on what I heard and from what I discovered while playing around with it):
Front Camera
5MP Rear Camera
Dual-Core processor
3G support
Dual-SIM
Wifi
Android ver 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
Dual-LED rear flash
Amazing, right? Even more amazing is how affordable this gadget will be once it’s released to the market.
So, without further ado… here is my exclusive sneak peek video on the my|phone A898.
This quick video was shot inside the bar so please pardon the footage if it isn’t as well-lit as one would want.
Keep in mind that apart from the A898, my|phone has lined-up a whole slew of really incredible, proudly-Pinoy, top quality models scheduled to be released very soon as well.
Seems like it’s gonna be a wonderful, gadget-filled Christmas after all. Ho-ho-ho!
Excited already? You should be.
I’m excited to hear from all of you… please leave your comments, questions and reactions below.
