After playing AirAsia’s new Red Hot Seat Sale jingle, I can’t get the melody out of my head. I find myself humming and singing to their tune all the time. Haha!
That’s how I would probably describe the Carbon Audio Pocket Speaker.
You’d think that something that can easily fit inside your shirt pocket cannot possibly produce sound so rich and full. Not to mention, loud.
You’ll notice immediately when you open the Carbon Audio Pocket Speaker that its design is far from other typical Bluetooth speakers in the same category. For one, this device sports a set of speakers on both sides of its body (front and rear) giving it what Carbon Audio calls “360-degree sound”.
All roads lead to a musical wonderland called “Wanderland” (Yep! Don’t be confused…)!
Globe Wanderland is an awesome music fest that happens on May 17, 2014 at the Globe Circuit Events Ground, Makati. This very happenin’ event is headlined by some of the hottest acts around – Paper Kites, Royal Concept, Architecture in Helsinki, Lucy Rose, Last Dinosaurs, Woody Pitney, The Ransom Collective, Brisom, Techy Romantics, and Chocolate Grass.
Globe Wanderland changes the music fest game
We’re all used to attending concerts with artists already pre-selecting their performance set list. This time, in a very different yet amusing twist, Globe shakes up the way songs are performed on the Globe Wanderland stage.
Remember my recent mobile data usage test to see if it was actually possible to go beyond the 3GB monthly threshold of telcos?
That particular test actually proved that even with a Fair Use Policy, I was comfortably within the 3GB data cap.
I’m actually happy that I was able to help a good number of people understand that most of our paranoia comes from the fact that we just want more, even when in reality, we consume way less data than what we think. But apparently, there is still a lot of people paranoid about the Fair Use Policy.
Some of my readers complain that non-WiFi users hit their daily/monthly data cap much faster because they are solely dependent on mobile data. That’s understandable, although mobile data was never intended to be used exclusively. This particular data service still needs to be complimented with a substantial WiFi connection. But at the end of the day, some people still cannot quite understand that.
That’s ok. No need to fret over that anymore because there actually seems to be a better solution… and in fact, I already recently made the switch!
Going Globe GoSURF
Coming from my very old Supersurf data package (which I’ve been using for roughly 3+ years with my postpaid plan), I eagerly moved to Globe’s new “GoSURF“ plan.
I love music. Any music. Well… Almost any music, that is.
I love listening to music while biding the time. I enjoy music in the background when I go to sleep. Music keeps me company and paces my stride everytime I do my regular run around the neighborhood to stay fit.
I love music just because. I’m sure you do, too.
Whatever your reason (or numerous reasons) for loving music, there is cause to rejoice and be excited.
Spotify, the awesome online music service that has been immensely popular abroad and oh, so elusive to Filipinos has finally arrived and is now available! Woohoo! Read more
The NudeAudio Move L is regarded as the BIG DADDY of the entire Move line.
If you aren’t familiar with NudeAudio’s Move line, this entire family of speakers deliberately have a simple look… and with good reason. NudeAudio has allocated majority of their funds for the Move series to research and development instead of superficial aesthetics and external design.
I’ve been testing out the Urbanears Humlan for quite sometime now. I have to say, I really didn’t know what to expect in terms of performance when I first took this new pair out for a test drive.
When I reviewed the Urbanears Kransen a few weeks back, I came out with a fair review stating that the Kransen tends to favor playback material that contains heavier bass and mid-range elements. I mentioned that this particular pair is not for everyone. It is best suited for people who love music with a ton of oomph.
When I wore the Humlan, I kind of pre-conditioned myself to hearing something similar to the Kransen. Boy, was I surprised! Read more
“Never judge a book by its cover”… you may have heard this a thousand times.
Maybe you’ve come across this wise saying time and again because it always holds true.
I have no doubt that this very thought will be the first thing that comes to mind when you meet the “MOVE S Wired” by NudeAudio.
Sure it’s small. Yeah, it looks very simple. But haven’t you ever noticed… most of the smallest people you probably know are the ones who actually speak (and act) the loudest? Read more
I just want to share a video of an old song entitled, “Kanlungan”, which I absolutely love composed by Rom Dongeto and performed by, in my opinion, one of the best singer/songwriters in the country – Noel Cabangon.
This video was from the coverage of the TulongPH benefit concert for Super Typhoon Yolanda victims.
I love Filipino folk music… perhaps also because I’m such a sucker for nostalgia which this song speaks so much of. The song which talks about reminiscing and going back home also takes on a deeper meaning now, given that it is being performed for countless Pinoys who are suffering and have lost everything because of the devastation brought by Yolanda.
Enjoy the video below…
Never fails to bring tears to my eyes for some strange reason. It seems to sing straight to my heart. Beautiful song.
