Exciting news, guys!
The SM Store shoppers nationwide are in for a treat as GCash mobile wallet is set to raffle off TEN (10) iPhone X from February to April this year. Yes! 10! OMG!!!
My favorite way to pay — GCash, the Philippine mobile money wallet provider — offers an early Christmas treat of up to P500 cashback to its loyal customers who will use the GCash App to pay for their purchases on #GDay at Trinoma Greenlight Sale from November 18 to 19, 2017.
Too bad I will be in Vietnam during this event. But if I wasn’t going to be out of the country, I would definitely be at the event. I’m a super duper huge fan of GCash!
Don’t you just love happy endings?
You may or may not know about it but one such happy ending happened just a couple of weeks ago.
Stirring up the flame and spirit of national pride and environmental consciousness on Independence Day, rescued Philippine Eagle, Pamana, was returned to its natural habitat to finally fly free and live in the wild where she truly belongs.
You see, Pamana was barely even a year old when she was found weak and docile from two gunshot wounds… deemed to have been a target of possible poaching. She was brought from Mt. Gabunan Range, Iligan City to the Philippine Eagle Foundation where she was given much needed treatment and rehabilitation.
GCash just keeps getting better and better.
Apart from improving and expanding its services and ease of use all over the country, it seems that there’s no stopping GCash from growing and increasing its reach beyond the Philippines.
Number one Philippine mobile brand, Globe Telecom, recently partnered with top online retailer and marketplace, Lazada, to bring its internationally-acclaimed GCash mobile wallet to the eCommerce space in South East Asia.
Lazada is owned by Rocket Internet, an internet platform that identifies and builds proven internet business models then transfers them to new, underserved or untapped markets where it seeks to scale them into market leading online companies.
The GCash and Lazada partnership was formally forged (and signed) by Globe Telecom President and CEO Ernest Cu and Lazada Founder and CEO Maximilian Bittner just last April 22 in Seoul, South Korea.
So, what benefits do we reap from this GCash and Lazada partnership, you might wonder?
Remember that amazing visit I made to “Smokin’ Pig Legendary Rib Joint” a few months ago?
It was back then when I saw first hand how Globe Charge was going to revolutionize the competitiveness of businesses, especially small players, by offering this incredible payment system.
Any kind of business, even small ones, can start accepting credit/debit card payments and become highly competitive because of Globe Charge.
Guys, ever heard of this new payment system that has been making quite a buzz recently called, “Globe Charge“?
Well, I actually got curious enough to find out more about this mode of payment that has been taking establishments by storm.
While it’s true that a good number of us still love (and are comfortable) using good ol’ traditional cash, a vast number of people have been more partial to using “plastic” (a popular slang term for credit card).
A common concern for most card users is that, unlike bigger establishments, small players in the business trade do not accept card payments. The process of applying for the capability to entertain credit cards is all too tedious and painstaking that proprietors of smaller scale businesses would rather forego the option.
But, that was then. Today, Globe Charge has dramatically changed the smaller scaled business landscape.
It just keeps getting better and better for Globe’s GCash American Express Virtual Pay.
Philippine Airlines and GCash – Perfect!
Apart from getting great opportunities to shop online and have them shipped right to your doorstep quickly and affordably, Philippine Airlines‘ online booking channels, www.PhilippineAirlines.com and www.FlyPalExpress.com are now accepting American Express as a mode of payment for their customers. You know what that means? It means Globe subscribers who own GCash American Express Virtual Pay can easily book tickets online problem-free!
Black Friday has come and gone… and as expected, it was crazy good!
Tons of items were on sale and finding out which items to order was exciting and confusing at the same time. I wanted a whole lot of stuff (don’t we all!), so I had trouble picking out the items I needed shipped over right away.
I’m really happy that the items I ordered have arrived already! In good time, too since, I’ll be needing this right after the holiday season (You’ll find out why in a bit). Woohoo!
Here are the items I purchased during my Black Friday binge…
I absolutely love being able to stretch my budget by using my Globe Rewards points. I’ve used it a couple of times already to pay for food in establishments like Figaro, Wendy’s and KFC. I’ve also used my points to gas up at Petron more than once.
It’s a real lifesaver.
But using it often also means that my Globe Rewards points run out faster than usual. Arrrgh!
There are a couple of really cool movies this week which I’d like to see… like “The Hobbit – The Desolation of Smaug”. During times like these, using Globe Rewards to purchase tickets is always my first option. But upon checking, it seems my points aren’t enough to score me a couple of seats to this really awesome movie. Noooooooo!
There have been quite a number of times when I wished I could buy movie tickets and other stuff using my Rewards points but couldn’t because didn’t have enough of them. Sigh…
There was really nothing I could do back then – Running out of Globe Rewards points means having no choice but to shell out real cash instead.
But like I said… that was “back then”. Everything’s different NOW. Thank God!
