Your favorite Classic Sans Rival Cake just got a delicious twist as Goldilocks, the country’s number one bakeshop introduces their revamped Chocolate Sans Rival Cake!
Great news for foodies and travelers alike! If you love flying and enjoying delicious in-flight meals, you’re gonna love this bit of news I’ve got for you.
AirAsia guests will have a brand new meal to enjoy this summer. Yup! The airline voted the world’s best low cost carrier just recently introduced a special chocolate dish in collaboration with celebrity Chef JP Anglo and other exciting new products in its Santan in-flight menu, further enhancing AirAsia guests’ experiences on board.
I was fortunate to be a part of the group that witnessed the BIG reveal at Malagos Garden Resort in Davao just a few days ago.
So, ready to know what new gastronomic delight was announced during that evening?
Cake! It’s the universal symbol for celebrations and parties. It brings people together and makes for “sweet” memories of friendship and love amongst families and friends.
But, not all cakes are created equal. In fact, not all bakeshops are either. A great bakeshop is not measured by how big its facility is or the number of branches one has. Bottomline — it is still (and always will be) about the product and its many other offerings.
I say this because I happened to chance upon a very young establishment along Tomas Morato Ave. in Quezon City called, Quim’s Cake Bakeshop and Cafe.
Quim’s Cake Bakeshop and Cafe is a corporation owned by pastry chef, Jack Labang, marketing & advertising practitioner, Anthony Haber; culinary chef Ruben “Jhollow” Ignacio, young entrepreneur, Mary Joy Rodriguez and a few investor-partners from different sectors.
If this place sounds familiar to you or seems to ring a bell, well, that’s because this little bakeshop that could has been making huge waves on social media for the past couple of months and has been making it big on the local and international news as of late.
Just a couple of days ago, I had so much fun attending an incredibly creative and unusually delightful event by our beloved chocolate bar, SNICKERS! Last Saturday, Snickers launched their #DontDriveHungry initiative with the ingenious idea of providing temporary license plates and car stickers to countless individuals who have waited quite a while for their official plates to be released by the Land Transportation Office (LTO). It is also a great way of reminding people to drive safe by not driving hungry.
Why come up with a SNICKERS Don’t Drive Hungry campaign, you ask?
You see, a study released by a top global navigation app revealed that Metro Manila was named as (get this!) “having the worst traffic on Earth.” Not only that. In the survey’s “Driver Satisfaction Index” the Philippines also did poorly, with a score of 3.9 (10 being satisfying and 1 being miserable). Tsk! Apart from that, Manila also topped the survey for the longest time spent commuting from home to office with an average time of 45.5 minutes, though some motorists report longer travel times especially during rush hour.
