I recently got my hands on a nifty (but not uncommon) device that many people use nowadays — a Bluetooth headset. But this one isn’t the kind of headset used for listening to music or drowning out external noise. It’s the kind one wears for phone calls mostly.
And it’s not just any kind of Bluetooth headset… this particular unit is made by one of the most reputable brands in the industry. Plantronics.
This, my friends, is the Plantronics Voyager 5200. It’s a handsome little earpiece that you wear on either ear and comfortably sits there, ready to assist you during phone calls.
That’s how I would probably describe the Carbon Audio Pocket Speaker.
You’d think that something that can easily fit inside your shirt pocket cannot possibly produce sound so rich and full. Not to mention, loud.
You’ll notice immediately when you open the Carbon Audio Pocket Speaker that its design is far from other typical Bluetooth speakers in the same category. For one, this device sports a set of speakers on both sides of its body (front and rear) giving it what Carbon Audio calls “360-degree sound”.
Very rarely does one chance upon an external speaker that sounds just as amazingly good as it looks.
The Marshall Stanmore is, no doubt, one of those coveted devices. Its gorgeous classic looks invoke a sense of Rock ‘n’ Roll nostalgia that just begs to be brought home the moment you lay your eyes on it.
As I slowly opened the packaging of the Marshall Stanmore, I felt like a kid eagerly unwrapping a long awaited Christmas gift. At first, I was excited primarily because the Stanmore’s handsome appearance would make an absolutely wonderful conversation piece.
The NudeAudio Move L is regarded as the BIG DADDY of the entire Move line.
If you aren’t familiar with NudeAudio’s Move line, this entire family of speakers deliberately have a simple look… and with good reason. NudeAudio has allocated majority of their funds for the Move series to research and development instead of superficial aesthetics and external design.
Wireless bluetooth speakers are a dime a dozen these days and one can get confused as to which one best fits his/her lifestyle.
There are a few bluetooth speakers on the market which you can get for the cheap… but I doubt you’d enjoy listening to properly encoded music files on them if they sound either too thin or too muddy. On the other hand, there are a few wireless speakers available that give out amazingly unbelievable sound… but will cost you an arm and a leg.
There has to be some sort of middle ground – a speaker that sounds great but doesn’t kill your life savings.
Upon further scouring, I discovered Divoom’s latest bluetooth speaker called the “Bluetune Solo”.
And just like that… our most elusive middle-ground suddenly isn’t hard to find anymore.
If you’re looking to get a portable bluetooth speaker that you could easily pair with your smartphone… or if you’re on the lookout to purchase a music dock alternative, you’re gonna want to read this post.
What I have right now is called the “Sound Kick” by SOUNDFREAQ.
The Sound Kick is an impressive carry-along bluetooth speaker that not only looks good, but delivers awesome sound quality based on tons of user experiences and various reviews.
You’re in a noisy, crowded environment and your trusty smartphone is in your pocket. Since you’re afraid that pulling out your most prized gadget to check for important tweets, SMS, FB, and email notifications might call the attention of snatchers and robbers, you decide to keep it securely in your pocket (or bag) instead.
Ever been in that situation before? More than once, perhaps?
What if you’re in a meeting? Constantly looking at your phone to check for incoming messages can be quite disrespectful to the person you’re having a meeting with. In the end, you choose to keep your phone turned down till god knows when. All the while, someone is trying to reach you through your smartphone and you don’t even notice… till it’s too late. Not good.
We’ve all been guilty of this. We’ve probably all been in hot water because we missed an urgent call from our spouse or from our boss.
So, what can you really do if you need to keep tabs with important people? What if you need to be notified the very minute an email is sent to you or when an emergency call comes in…? Is there a solution to this?
Fortunately, NOW there’s is!
COOKOO.
Yup! Cookoo! An analog watch that does so much more than just notify you of the time.
This impressive little gadget connects to your iOS device via Bluetooth 4.0 in tandem with a free downloadable app via the Apple AppStore.
Every now and then you chance upon a gadget/electronic accessory that is amazingly versatile as it is handsome… a gadget that’s worth every single penny you spent because of how useful and dependable it is.
One such device is the Braven BRV-1 Wireless HD Speaker (Speakerphone/Charger).
There are countless portable speakers in the market these days and none of them, in my opinion, comes close to the BRV-1 in terms of versatility.
