White powdery sand as far as the eye can see… with crystal clear blue water that is just a beauty to behold.
Nope, I am not talking about Boracay. Surprised, perhaps?
I am talking about the seemingly undiscovered municipality of Anda, Bohol, where the breathtaking beauty of Anda Beach just immediately captures you and takes you in at first sight.
Imagine a public beach that has powdery white sand that stretches as far as the eye can see. And even further down the shoreline, Anda Beach boasts of sand that is arguably even finer than what is found in Boracay. It’s incredible, really.
Resorts are a dime a dozen nowadays. So many know of beaches and popular relaxation destinations in places like Kalibo, Bohol, and Palawan. It’s so difficult to decide where to go.
But did you know that a paradise-like location can practically be found just beside Metro Manila? A wonderful breathtaking getaway which is just a comfortable 1.5-hour drive from the busy metropolis.
This paradise is called, “Pico de Loro”.
Named after a nearby mountain with a peak shaped in the form of a parrot’s beak, this sprawling wonderland provides way more than anyone’s general idea of what one resort can offer. There is also a great deal of sights to behold that make you feel like you are nowhere near the bustling city from which you came from.
Pico de Loro Cove is the maiden residential community of Hamilo Coast. Nestled along a 1.5-kilometer stretch of white sand and calm blue waters, the 40-hectare community is a first glimpse into the future of Hamilo Coast as the premier sustainable beach resort town of the Philippines.
Last March 24, I was able to spend 2 days (an overnight stay) at Pico de Loro with my wife and a few good friends, enjoying the view and the place’s awesome attractions not to mention the wonderful food prepared by their very own chef.
Coincidentally, it was also our wedding anniversary… so what better way to spend this romantic occasion than to bask under the sun and enjoy everything that Pico de Loro has to offer.
My wife played around with the panorama feature of the MyPhone A898 Duo and took multiple shots of me while walking along the beach shore after my cardio session. Nice “clone” effect. :)
Heading to Boracay in a few hours… It’s been 5 months since I’ve spent 5 straight weeks by the ocean (as a castaway) for Survivor Philippines.
I’ll be staying at the beach for roughly 3 days only but it’ll be a jampacked itinerary. Looking forward to it…
Globe Tattoo is taking me to the island to attend (and witness) the launch of their new product. You can be sure I’ll be blogging about it in the coming days, so watch out for it!
Luckily, my wife and I have 3 ZestAir gift certificates which we’ve accumulatedly won the past 2 Christmases already and have been saving for quite a while now. We realized that this is the perfect opportunity to use these tickets.
They’ll obviously be flying in separately since I’m heading to Boracay with the Tattoo entourage but I’ll have tons of free time with family when we meet up at the beach. Globe was gracious enough to get a room at “The Palms” that would comfortably fit me and my family. Thank you, Coy (Caballes) and the rest of the Globe Tattoo peeps!
Yipee! Work and pleasure. Pretty awesome 3 days ahead, me thinks.
Let’s see what’s in store. Will keep you guys posted so stay tuned! Follow me on Twitter to stay updated on the latest Globe happenings in Boracay and what new Tattoo product they’ll be launching very soon.
