Imagine heading off to the beach for some much needed downtime or happily backpacking around a European countryside. Exciting, right? Now imagine finding out during your trip that your money, card and passport are missing. That’s a very scary thought — and a very real possibility whenever you’re out traveling.
Thieves are very cunning and always preying on individuals, especially those whose mind is preoccupied on so many other things, which is exactly how we are when in transit or busy doing other activities.
Fortunately, we need not be helpless when criminals strike. Pacsafe has made sure of that.
Pacsafe is a brand of bags that aren’t just stylish and attractive. These products are designed mainly to protect the valuable items that you bring along with you wherever you go and preventing thieves from stealing them away from you.
You’ve probably already heard of this popular brand especially if you’re serious about security.
What do you get when a goose and a blackbird both take flight? A spectacular evening of fun, food and festivities. This is exactly what guests experienced during the Grey Goose Gastronomique event that happened at Blackbird at the Nielson Tower in Makati City.
Grey Goose VX was the star of the evening as an ambiance of opulence was felt throughout the entire venue.
In the 1960’s, many citizens of Makati would associate the 6749 Ayala Avenue address with the Gilarmi Apartments, the first serviced apartment building in the country. Established in 1962 by Virgilio Hilario, he named the building after his son Gil, and his Miss Universe beauty pageant winning wife, Armi Kuusela. Their level of service was famous all throughout the city, and arguably Asia.
Today, Discovery Primea stands in the same spot as Gilarmi Apartments once rose, and upholds its name and legacy of fine service in Makati at The Gilarmi Lounge. The hotel’s lobby lounge offers various styles and brews of coffee, high tea, cocktails, draught beer and Filipino-inspired bar fare.
The Gilarmi Lounge at Discovery Primea is an ideal venue for intimate groups. The lounge presents patrons with an unparalleled experience of Ayala Avenue through floor to ceiling windows and live piano music, while enjoying a wide variety of coffee or TWG loose leaf teas from 7AM to 11PM daily.
Here’s something to excite you and make you want to drop by The Gilarmi Lounge at Discovery Primea sooner than later…
For a limited time only, The Gilarmi Lounge at Discovery Primea will offer the “The Gilarmi Sunset” promotion from 5PM to 8PM, Mondays through Sundays. For only Php 595++, guests will be able to enjoy two glasses of Stella Artois Draft Beer and their choice of Modern Filipino bar chow, among Grilled Chicken Wings Inasal, Smoked Bangus Spring Rolls, “Sisig sa Riles” with Chili-Soy, Calamansi and Soft-Poached Egg, and Grilled Tuna Brochettes with Crispy Chili Garlic.

I’ve always dreamt of having my own property in Tagaytay… even just a small one.
Ever since I was a kid, I would happily look forward to long road trips heading off to places with cold climates. Tagaytay and Baguio were always at the top of my list.
When I got married, my wife and I would daydream and talk about having a second home in Tagaytay where our family could easily get away from all the hullabaloo and stress of the Metropolis. An escape of sorts.
But where exactly would one be able to find that perfect spot where the conveniences of the metro (sans the hurly-burly) melds seamlessly with the unique and wonderful environment of Tagaytay? With all the development brought about by Tagaytay’s beauty and booming economy, choosing that perfect spot place can be quite tedious.
I recently learned about “Asilo Tagaytay” – a property being developed by Avida Land, the affordable housing arm of Ayala Land.
Derived from the word “silong”, which means “to take shelter”, Asilo Tagaytay is a mixed-use residential development that offers a second home or vacation home for buyers. This is a wonderful property for people who want to enjoy breathtaking views overlooking the Taal Lake and Volcano and soak in the cool, refreshing climate that Tagaytay is famous for. It is also a prime choice for those who wish to invest in a place to lease, with the assistance of Avida’s Leasing Services.
If you have a Facebook account or actively engage with others on Twitter, you must already know that social media isn’t just a force to be reckoned with… but a venue where fun things happen!
It gets even better when you actually know the people you engage with on a personal level. That’s what tweetups are for. It gives everyone the opportunity to know more about the people you chat with beyond what their profile pics will ever reveal.
I’ve been to quite a number of tweetups already and every one of ’em has been a blast!
It may be intimidating for others to not know anyone at first but don’t let nerves get the best of you. Just keep in mind that everyone attending a tweetup has at one time or another been an uneasy stranger during his/her first attendance. Don’t fret! People are extra friendly and accommodating. Believe me, hanging out on Twitter after being in one of these tweetups makes the experience of being online extra fun and more enjoyable.
Tweetups are also awesome “networking” opportunities – explore business openings, find sideline jobs, heck… even discover your long lost soulmate in the process!
Just come… Come for curiosity’s sake… stay for the fun.
That being said… get ready for a major tweetup on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 4:00PM!
If there was any time in your life that you were planning to drop by a tweetup… this is absolutely the best time to go.
It’ll be BIG! It’ll be FUN! And it’ll be WONDERFUL!
Everyone will be here… know tweeps from all walks of life and be surprised by how many friends you’ll make before the night is through.
Head over to this site and signup. Nevertheless, you can still come over and attend even without signing up. Attendance is absolutely FREE!
The organizer of this most anticipated event is #TweetupManila and their official Facebook page can be found here. #TweetupManila’s twitter account is @TweetupMNL
Mark the date, tweeps – It happens this Saturday, June 30, 2012. Tower One & Exchange Plaza Fountain Area, Ayala Triangle, Ayala Avenue, Makati City. The venue is impossible to miss… since it’s open-air, the place can be seen along Ayala Avenue.
Here’s a map to guide you to the place in case you’re not familiar with Makati or easily get confused (just like me!):
