For some reason, as I was looking for something productive and interesting to watch online earlier today, I happened to chance upon one of Inquirer.net’s live webinars on Facebook. The topic of this particular session was about mental health, a subject of discussion that I know is very present and relevant in this day and age, but something that needs to be brought more to the forefront.
And since I was able to catch the webinar right before it actually started, I decided to stay and listen to the many notable speakers who were scheduled to discuss about the challenges of mental health and the possible ways to help people going through these difficulties, especially now that the pandemic and lockdown has triggered more anxiety and depression in many of our fellow Filipinos.Read more
Hey, everyone! I’m really excited to share with you this really cool and newly opened lifestyle store my wife and I recently discovered in Makati.
The place is called CURATE.
Curate is unlike any other lifestyle store you’ve seen or been to before. That’s because, just as their store name suggests, the products that are showcased and offered inside the establishment are all curated; carefully selected items that are guaranteed to be only of great value and quality.Read more
Run With Me X (or Run with Me 2019) which happened this early morning, marked the second year my wife and I have participated as Team Leaders in this wonderful initiative spearheaded by Resorts World Manila.
As promised to all of us, this year’s Run With Me X was indeed Xtra fulfilling and Xtra exciting! It was bigger and better in every sense. More registrants, too!Read more
There are just some things in life that you never realized you couldn’t live without until you’ve finally experienced them. You can probably name a couple of things that have given you this kind of eureka moment. Some things that come to mind based on my own personal experience are perhaps Netflix (movies and tv shows galore!), the internet (I know, right?!), and well… juicy burgers (Hey! To each his own, alright?).
Well, because of a recent revelation I had during an event I attended just last weekend, an addition to my personal list of “things I can’t live without” is in order.Read more
Many have already been asking me how I am able to stay in shape and still get to eat all the kinds of dishes that are normally “bawal” sa diet. Especially all the fatty food.
Many of you who follow me on Instagram and my Facebook Page know how much I loooooooove BACON, cheese, eggs, and Spam! If you think about it, most (if not all) of these are discouraged if you want to lose weight or cut down on cholesterol. But, I can’t stop eating them! Hahaha!
I also do a lot of travel blogging and vlogging which involves a LOT of eating, too! I mean… how else to immerse yourself in a new place than by experiencing the flavors of one’s culture right? Well, it used to be a challenge trying to watch my weight especially when there’s so much food around to enjoy. But, not anymore!
Wanna know my secret? It’s simple.Read more
I love competitive sports. It’s something that has always been a part of my life ever since I was a kid. Perhaps many of the reasons why I am who I am now is because of the many values I have learned by engaging in sports. Values such as determination, persistence and motivation.
That’s why when I had kids of my own, I made sure they would develop a deep love for sports as well. Until now, I encourage them every chance I get. Of course, it goes without saying that the physical aspect of sports has its health benefits as well.
For the longest time, I’ve been trying to find the perfect type of sport that we can engage in together. Something that we would enjoy participating in and become one of our best ways to bond as a family.
I believe I may have found just the thing.
This leads me to the real topic of this blog post…Read more
I’ve always wanted to try having my teeth whitened. The thought of having whiter, more attractive teeth is something I have long considered. The only problem is… I’ve also always thought that teeth whitening is a tedious and painstaking procedure. So, I never really bothered to try experiencing this kind of treatment.
But, just recently, I had the wonderful opportunity to try a teeth whitening procedure at a recently opened establishment in Bonifacio Global City called, The Smile Bar.
I really didn’t know what to expect. And up until the moment that I was about to be treated, all kinds of questions were running through my head like… Was it going to take hours? Will it hurt? Would it be an unpleasant experience?
All my questions would soon be answered as I entered the friendly premises of The Smile Bar. I was greeted with warm hellos and lots of smiles — shiny white beaming smiles, in fact! There’s just something about a radiant smile that draws you in, wouldn’t you agree?
In no time, I was led into their treatment area and I was well on my way to having shinier pearly whites. Exciting!
