Wow. I’m happily surprised with the performance of the Joyroom JR-T04S bluetooth earphones. As in. At first, I was a bit skeptical considering its very cheap price (I’ll get to that later). So, when I tried it, I didn’t expect to enjoy it more than I thought I would — and that’s a good thing!Read more
I dropped by Urban Traveller & Co., my fave go-to travel and lifestyle store, to look for a super pogi, stylish, and functional cross-body bag (aka “fanny pack” for you millennials out there).
I decided not to go to the other usual stores anymore since I wanted something unique. Another reason was because I learned that there were many new Freitag bag models available and being showcased at Urban Traveller & Co. Perfect!Read more

Over the years, I have always tried to find the kind of vehicle that suits the kind of lifestyle I lead. Back when I was a kid, I preferred fast sleek sedans and souped-up speedsters. As I gradually got older, my taste and sensibilities eventually helped me gravitate towards SUVs and trucks because of their size, ruggedness, and dependability. I guess having a family does that to you. Haha!
Well, since I’m here talking about trucks and SUVs, I’d like to share with you guys that I recently had the awesome opportunity to drive the New Isuzu mu-X Euro 4 with Bluepower Diesel Engine for a couple of days.
I’ve always wanted to try having my teeth whitened. The thought of having whiter, more attractive teeth is something I have long considered. The only problem is… I’ve also always thought that teeth whitening is a tedious and painstaking procedure. So, I never really bothered to try experiencing this kind of treatment.
But, just recently, I had the wonderful opportunity to try a teeth whitening procedure at a recently opened establishment in Bonifacio Global City called, The Smile Bar.
I really didn’t know what to expect. And up until the moment that I was about to be treated, all kinds of questions were running through my head like… Was it going to take hours? Will it hurt? Would it be an unpleasant experience?
All my questions would soon be answered as I entered the friendly premises of The Smile Bar. I was greeted with warm hellos and lots of smiles — shiny white beaming smiles, in fact! There’s just something about a radiant smile that draws you in, wouldn’t you agree?
In no time, I was led into their treatment area and I was well on my way to having shinier pearly whites. Exciting!
You probably already know just how obsessed I am with streaming media at home. I spend a good chunk of my downtime kicking back in bed while enjoying a number of shows on my UHD (4K) TV using my smartphone and Google Chromecast.
Google Chromecast has always been my “go to” device when it comes to streaming entertainment content. So much so that every TV at home is equipped with its very own Google Chromecast.
But it seems that there is a new device that is slowly taking Chromecast’s place in my heart. This, my dear readers, is the Xiaomi Mi Box Android TV.
I recently got my hands on a nifty (but not uncommon) device that many people use nowadays — a Bluetooth headset. But this one isn’t the kind of headset used for listening to music or drowning out external noise. It’s the kind one wears for phone calls mostly.
And it’s not just any kind of Bluetooth headset… this particular unit is made by one of the most reputable brands in the industry. Plantronics.
This, my friends, is the Plantronics Voyager 5200. It’s a handsome little earpiece that you wear on either ear and comfortably sits there, ready to assist you during phone calls.
A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to drive the Ford Ranger to Victoria, Tarlac, to check out Bambike and the positive force for change they have become for the Gawad Kalinga community. It was one amazing day trip that was equally enjoyable as it was eye-opening.
Just recently, I had the pleasure of taking the beautifully engineered Ford Explorer out for a spin. During this time, I drove my family up to Baguio City for some much needed rest and recreation.
From the moment, I first sat inside the driver’s seat of this handsome baby, I immediately knew that the Ford Explorer was going to be a joy to experience. Boy, was I right! Not only that… it actually exceeded my expectations in terms of performance, features, and delightful surprises.
Hacksaw Ridge is a film that I’ve been meaning to see for quite sometime now. The first time I saw its trailer, I made a mental note to put this movie on my must-watch list.
Fortunately, I had the opportunity to enjoy an advanced screening of Hacksaw Ridge just recently together with my wife and a couple of friends.
I love war movies. Especially those that are set during World War II. The gritty, gory and intense ground battles, especially when depicted unapologetically, make for one very real and in-your-face retelling. But another reason why I was drawn to this film is because of the stars involved in it — Andrew Garfield, Hugo Weaving, Vince Vaughn and Sam Worthington. Apart from that, Mel Gibson, who happens to be an amazing actor himself, is the motion picture’s director. And given how “The Passion of the Christ” was so amazingly directed, I had very high hopes for Hacksaw Ridge.
I’ve always been fascinated with contact lenses. How one can freely move around with no hindrance or discomfort that comes with prolonged use of eyeglasses.
I’ve been using eyeglasses for a good number of years already and somehow, there are still moments when I find myself complaining or irritated by my spectacles. I guess everyone who has ever used one can relate.
But for the life of me, I could not get myself to wear contact lenses. The thought of seeing my finger slowly nearing my eyeball gets me all queasy. Hahaha! I don’t know why. It’s just one of the many fears that I have which includes needles among other things.
Thankfully, my daughter, Ella, is the total opposite.
