Guys, I have a question which probably seems all too familiar to some of you…
Have you ever had to transfer money or pay bills while traveling abroad or some far off province but could not do so because there is little to no mobile network?
We’ve all probably been there before, right? It sucks, doesn’t it?
Well, thankfully, with the newest security feature of BPI’s online and mobile banking platforms called the “Mobile Key,” you no longer have to worry!
I dropped by Urban Traveller & Co., my fave go-to travel and lifestyle store, to look for a super pogi, stylish, and functional cross-body bag (aka “fanny pack” for you millennials out there).
I decided not to go to the other usual stores anymore since I wanted something unique. Another reason was because I learned that there were many new Freitag bag models available and being showcased at Urban Traveller & Co. Perfect!
Run With Me X (or Run with Me 2019) which happened this early morning, marked the second year my wife and I have participated as Team Leaders in this wonderful initiative spearheaded by Resorts World Manila.
This year, Yen and I led the Green Team again. But this time, we were joined by Ara Mina as well. The beneficiary we were representing this year was the Tahanang Walang Hagdanan.
As promised to all of us, this year’s Run With Me X was indeed Xtra fulfilling and Xtra exciting! It was bigger and better in every sense. More registrants, too!
Good times and lots of fun nostalgia. That’s exactly what what happened during our “OBMC Alumni Homecoming Episode 2” celebration last night at the Maria Montessori Hall, OB Montessori Center, Greenhills.
Can you imagine a single card so powerful that it can open up a ton of fun and exciting experiences, showcasing the best of the Philippines — from the festive city of Iloilo, the chilly landscapes of Tagaytay, to the thrilling landscape of Manila?
Well, what about being able to discover more of the beauty of the cities and islands around the country, as well as enjoy their delicious cuisines and world-class hospitality, all through the power of one incredible card?
Impossible, you say? Perhaps. But not for the very card I’m holding!
I actually live just a stone’s throw away from the grocery store… and yet, when the usual time comes when we need to do our grocery shopping, I find myself dragging my butt to leave the house. Why? Because the horrible traffic, unruly jeepneys, jaywalkers and motorcycles make getting to the grocery seem like an eternity. And it gets even worse when it rains!
Traffic!!! Homayghad!!!
Thank God, nowadays, almost anything can be accessed through our smartphones. From emails and breaking news, to laundry and grocery shopping, everything is conveniently just a few taps away. We no longer have to waste a considerable amount of our lives sitting through road rage inducing traffic and waiting in lines to accomplish mundane errands.
The other day, an LBC Express package delivery addressed to me arrived on our doorstep. I wasn’t expecting anything during that particular day so I was curious to find out what this was.
Upon opening this medium-sized box, I immediately saw a card with my name and my blog’s name on it.
Going through the card, I learned that the package actually came from the wonderful folks of LBC Express! Oh, cool! Looks like they’re playing Santa this holiday season and sending some Christmas love my way in the form of a #SorpresaPadala package filled with goodies and treats!
Well, it’s that time of the year again when you can feel that undeniable excitement in the air.
No, I’m not talking about Christmas which also happens to be just ’round the corner. I’m talking about that most anticipated time of the year when the newest model of the best phone (in my opinion) on the planet makes its way over to our side of the planet.
Recently, I visited a fairly well known restaurant located right smack in the heart of Rockwell, Makati, known for its delicious and impressive Negrense cuisine – “Kafe Batwan”.
This cool and very homey establishment is owned by celebrity chef and fellow kababayan JP Anglo.
The reason for visiting wasn’t mainly because I wanted to try out Chef JP Anglo’s dishes (although I did get to sample a good number of ‘em during that day). I was there to witness Chef JP being launched as the newest Globe Platinum ambassador.
Indeed, Christmas is just around the corner. Unfortunately, as much as we love the joyful and giving spirit it brings to all of us, much of it is lost the moment we step into the road and take on the ridiculously terrible traffic all over Metro Manila.
The Yultide season makes traveling all the more difficult due to the relentless Christmas rush of holiday shoppers and folks who are most probably moving from one party to another.
In as much as this time of the year is all about “giving”, it is extremely challenging to send over some Christmas joy to friends and family by way of gifts and goodies. Just imagine the eternity it takes for one person taking on Metro Manila’s congested roads in order to drop off a couple of presents. Oh, precious time! And woe to those spending for expensive petrol.
That’s why my wife and I thought of taking advantage of Grabtaxi’s nifty new service called, GrabExpress!
In a nutshell, GrabExpress is pretty much like a personal delivery service. Your very own courier, if you will. And since GrabExpress uses motorcycles as their mode of transport, weaving through traffic and avoiding road congestion is effortless.
