I would like to take this opportunity to thank Resorts World Manila for making me one of the ambassadors for this year’s “Run With Me 2018″ charity run which was held last Sunday (August 26) at the MOA Concert Grounds.
Nilagnat at nag ka-trangkaso pa nga ako last Wednesday up until the night before the run. I was supposed to do the 10K but because of my cough, colds and fever, I decided to do the 5K instead dahil hindi pa ako fully recovered.
Remember my previous blog post about my newfound love for the sport of Ultimate Frisbee after competing in the recently held Jamba Juice Whirl’d Cup 2018 (you can read all about it via the link below)?
I love competitive sports. It’s something that has always been a part of my life ever since I was a kid. Perhaps many of the reasons why I am who I am now is because of the many values I have learned by engaging in sports. Values such as determination, persistence and motivation.
That’s why when I had kids of my own, I made sure they would develop a deep love for sports as well. Until now, I encourage them every chance I get. Of course, it goes without saying that the physical aspect of sports has its health benefits as well.
For the longest time, I’ve been trying to find the perfect type of sport that we can engage in together. Something that we would enjoy participating in and become one of our best ways to bond as a family.
I believe I may have found just the thing.
This leads me to the real topic of this blog post…Read more
When 2018 started, my wife, Yen, and I promised each other we’d start living a healthier lifestyle. Four months into the year, and we’re still having difficulty sticking to our diet. It’s such a difficult thing to do! Snacking is especially hard because there are rarely healthy snacks. With chips and everything fried offered on the menu, it’s almost impossible to look for a healthy alternative. Luckily, we found this great recipe online about salad rolls. It’s like salad on-the-go which is really perfect for light snacks! Of course, knowing us, we always put our own spin to dishes and recipes to make them more flavorful and . And we’ve found the best thing that goes with it — San Marino Tuna Fillet!
I move in an industry where sleep is hardly given the kind of importance and priority it rightfully deserves. More often than not, sleep takes a backseat to what most people in my circle seemingly perceive to be more important activities. What escapes them is the fact that lack of proper sleep time can negatively affect one’s physical and mental wellness, especially as working adults. On the flipside, when one gets enough quality rest, tasks are accomplished not just faster but more efficiently, and one’s disposition is positive.
Just recently, my attendance to the Uratex U+1 Sleep Workshop at their beautiful showroom in Magallanes further reinforced what I have always believed in — that sleep is KING. And the ignorance of this vital truth not only affects one’s lifestyle negatively but can — and will — cause serious complications on his/her health.
Guys, honestly… “heart-friendly” is probably the last thing on your mind when you reach for the cooking oil in your kitchen shelf, am I right? It probably isn’t any wonder considering how health buffs give it a bad rap all these years. Well, I guess it’s high time to set the record straight once and for all…
So, while some cooking oils put your cardiovascular health at risk, there are actually others that provide essential good fats that our bodies need. Yup. It’s true! In fact, there are even some cooking oils that reduce your risk of having coronary heart disease and other cardiovascular ailments.
We all know that looking good brings about confidence. The kind of confidence that allows us to face challenges and perform exceptionally well under extreme pressure. Just like the enormous pressure and challenges faced by our Miss Philippines Earth candidates.
That’s why looking good for these wonderful ladies begin with healthy living. This includes an active lifestyle complemented with the right kind of food and necessary supplements — like mySlim.
To further emphasize the importance of being fit and living right, mySlim recently hosted an event for the media featuring some of the early favorites to win this year’s Miss Philippines Earth beauty pageant.
The journey to find better ways to achieve and maintain whiter and fairer skin is a tricky one. With so many skin products promising to deliver the kind of results we so desperately want, and with countless items on the counter falling flat on their claims, how do we really find “the one”?
The answer is honestly quite simple. Choose a proven brand that has already been known to truly deliver on their promises.
You need not look far and away to find a brand that has been trusted and loved by many skin care enthusiasts who have already achieved and continue to maintain beautiful white skin. The name, my friends, is Vida Nutriscience — makers of popular products such as SnowCaps, Snow Skin Whitening Cream, Acne Care Drying Lotion and mySlim.
Their newly launched product is guaranteed to make waves once again because of what it promises to bring to an eager market that desires beautiful skin.
This product is called Snow Crystal White Tomato.
You’re probably asking what makes Snow Crystal White Tomato special and why one would want to use this revolutionary product. Well, read on because I’ve got all the awesome details right here.
Guys, let’s have a little talk about something that’s hopefully just as important to you as it is to me. It is one of the most important aspects of one’s lifestyle and should be everyone’s priority beyond merely dressing well or looking fit.
It’s called, HYGIENE.
Hygiene basically is the condition or practice conducive to maintaining health and preventing disease, especially through cleanliness.
Brushing your teeth, taking regular baths, cutting your nails, changing your clothes… these are just some of the many ways of maintaining good personal hygiene. Staying clean and healthy by being constantly conscious of one’s cleanliness is a sure fire way of keeping harmful germs and bacteria at bay.
Cancer is not new to my family, whether from my side or my wife’s. We both have a history of relatives who have succumbed to this dreaded disease. And while all of us wouldn’t want to meet a similar fate, most of the time it is beyond our control. A huge factor that affects our predisposition to the “Big C” is genetics.
My mother getting cancer gives me much reason to be concerned. Here’s the tricky thing, though… while it may be possible for cancer not to manifest in my lifetime, it may still be possible for me to pass on this genetic trait down to my children. The same goes for my wife.
