I’ve got a new hangout in BGC where I’m sure to enjoy flavorful, freshly cooked, creative dishes! It’s a really cool pop-up booth and the place is a real trip… food trip, to be exact! In fact, it’s so much of a trip that this pop-up booth is aptly called, “JoyRide!” It’s a pop-up booth which just recently launched and can be found at Mercato Centrale BGC from Wednesdays through Saturdays, 6PM to 3AM. Also, starting on mid-October, you can also catch JoyRide! at Mercato Centrale Glorietta from Thursdays through Fridays, from 4PM to 2AM.Read more

If you’ve been an avid follower of my blog, you probably already know how conscious I am of my health. Ever since I made that decision one fateful day back in 2010 to get back in shape, losing 50 lbs in 6 months (185 lbs down to 135 lbs), I never looked back.
And based on my own research and personal experience, I’ve learned that while having a very active lifestyle does wonders to one’s health and well-being, it does no good whatsoever if you cannot complement it with a proper diet. Nutrition is roughly 80% of your entire fitness regimen while physical activity is only 20%. That’s right. I can spend every single day in the gym, sweating it out relentlessly, but without proper food intake, I’ll end up hardly seeing any results.Read more
I actually live just a stone’s throw away from the grocery store… and yet, when the usual time comes when we need to do our grocery shopping, I find myself dragging my butt to leave the house. Why? Because the horrible traffic, unruly jeepneys, jaywalkers and motorcycles make getting to the grocery seem like an eternity. And it gets even worse when it rains!
Thank God, nowadays, almost anything can be accessed through our smartphones. From emails and breaking news, to laundry and grocery shopping, everything is conveniently just a few taps away. We no longer have to waste a considerable amount of our lives sitting through road rage inducing traffic and waiting in lines to accomplish mundane errands.
When 2018 started, my wife, Yen, and I promised each other we’d start living a healthier lifestyle. Four months into the year, and we’re still having difficulty sticking to our diet. It’s such a difficult thing to do! Snacking is especially hard because there are rarely healthy snacks. With chips and everything fried offered on the menu, it’s almost impossible to look for a healthy alternative. Luckily, we found this great recipe online about salad rolls. It’s like salad on-the-go which is really perfect for light snacks! Of course, knowing us, we always put our own spin to dishes and recipes to make them more flavorful and . And we’ve found the best thing that goes with it — San Marino Tuna Fillet!
Just recently, our friends from Gold Seas Tuna Chunks asked me and my family to take on their fun mystery challenge. Being the competitive family that we are, naturally we immediately said YES!
So, here’s what happened… Gold Seas Tuna Chunks whisked us away to Noni’s Resort in beautiful Batangas to enjoy an amazing glamping experience where our challenge was also going to take place.
During our overnight getaway, The DREYS (that’s us!) had a delightfully unforgettable time bonding over jokes, laughter and, of course, TUNA!
Fun and food during the Gold Seas Tuna Chunks Challenge with The DREYS

AirAsia and Chef JP Anglo introduces the Roasted Dalandan Chicken with Pimiento Sauce using Malagos chocolate!
Great news for foodies and travelers alike! If you love flying and enjoying delicious in-flight meals, you’re gonna love this bit of news I’ve got for you.
AirAsia guests will have a brand new meal to enjoy this summer. Yup! The airline voted the world’s best low cost carrier just recently introduced a special chocolate dish in collaboration with celebrity Chef JP Anglo and other exciting new products in its Santan in-flight menu, further enhancing AirAsia guests’ experiences on board.
I was fortunate to be a part of the group that witnessed the BIG reveal at Malagos Garden Resort in Davao just a few days ago.
So, ready to know what new gastronomic delight was announced during that evening?
Hey, everyone! If you think that the season of feasting and enjoying great food is over just because Christmas Day has passed, well, you’re very wrong.
Every Pinoy knows that the holiday season is celebrated the longest here in our country. That means we still have until the celebration of Three Kings to enjoy more parties, get-togethers, and a good amount of festivities even at home with friends and family.
Take for example, The Dreys’ household. Loved ones and friends continuously — and sometimes suddenly — drop by our home to say hello and share some holiday cheer. Of course, making sure that guests have good food to eat when they’re around is top priority.
And since Media Noche (the feast on New Year’s Eve) is still upon us, a good amount of food preparations are still underway.
