Read moreBaguio City is one of my favorite local destinations here in the Philippines ever since I was a kid. I’m sure many, if not all of you, have already been to Baguio City as well.
In fact, it may very well be the case that most of you probably have your own preferred lodging and accommodation choices when you visit this popular spot.
I actually have been to a quite a number of hotels, inns, and rental houses around Baguio City. But there is one particular place in Baguio that I have recently tried and truly enjoyed staying in — Holiday Inn Baguio City Centre.

So, we took the opportunity to enjoy a little quality family time not too far away from the metro by spending a couple of days in a resort located in Batangas that we’ve been meaning to visit for quite sometime now.
Read moreLast year, I had the wonderful opportunity to visit my family’s (Dreyfus) hometown — a quaint little town called, Oberschaeffolsheim, in the Alsace region of France (Yup. We’re French!). I wanted to learn more about my great grandfather’s place of birth and this place where he grew up before migrating to the Philippines.
It gave me the chance to explore the sights, sounds, and flavors of this beautiful village.

Just last week, I shared with all of you (through a blog post) just how saddened I am that my son will soon be leaving us to train and work in a different country. This time around, I am sharing with all of you another experience that just proves how fleeting life is.
Read moreMy son, Ralph, is going away soon — and I’m having a hard time coming to terms with it.
You see, Ralph has long been preparing for his first job as part of the cabin crew of an airline company. For those who aren’t aware, he applied for the job last year when we heard that this airline company was hiring in Manila.
For those curious, the airline company’s headquarters where my son will be training and working at is located in Malaysia. This is where our son would be based for two (2) years once he starts his job.

I love competitive sports. It’s something that has always been a part of my life ever since I was a kid. Perhaps many of the reasons why I am who I am now is because of the many values I have learned by engaging in sports. Values such as determination, persistence and motivation.
That’s why when I had kids of my own, I made sure they would develop a deep love for sports as well. Until now, I encourage them every chance I get. Of course, it goes without saying that the physical aspect of sports has its health benefits as well.
For the longest time, I’ve been trying to find the perfect type of sport that we can engage in together. Something that we would enjoy participating in and become one of our best ways to bond as a family.
I believe I may have found just the thing.
This leads me to the real topic of this blog post…Read more
Just recently, our friends from Gold Seas Tuna Chunks asked me and my family to take on their fun mystery challenge. Being the competitive family that we are, naturally we immediately said YES!
So, here’s what happened… Gold Seas Tuna Chunks whisked us away to Noni’s Resort in beautiful Batangas to enjoy an amazing glamping experience where our challenge was also going to take place.
During our overnight getaway, The DREYS (that’s us!) had a delightfully unforgettable time bonding over jokes, laughter and, of course, TUNA!

My wife and I are very competitive in every single thing we do. We love to outdo one another so much that it becomes hilarious at times.
So, it wasn’t any wonder that when our daughter’s (Isabella) school — Kids World — had their sportsfest last October 21, 2017, we attended the event with our game faces on. Hahaha! I’m always game for a little bit of competition every now and then. So was my wife.
There were lots of fun activities during the sportsfest and I had a great time bonding with Ella’s other schoolmates and classmates, not to mention her teachers and other parents.
