It seems like only bigger and better things are in store for the rapidly developing city of Angeles — particularly the Clark Freeport Zone.
With plans of moving airline terminals to this bustling location and a much talked about (and eagerly anticipated) rail transport system in the planning stages, everything appears to be looking up.
One such establishment that is slowly making its mark and drawing people from far and wide is the newly opened Midori Clark Hotel and Casino — a 9,000 square meter property located inside the Clark Freeport Zone.
Discovering Midori Clark Hotel and Casino
I was fortunate enough to enjoy a quick staycation at Midori Clark Hotel and Casino just recently together with my wife. Though still on soft opening, I am delighted to say that I absolutely enjoyed my brief stay at their property.
Midori Clark Hotel and Casino boasts of 111 rooms. The casino and the hotel are two separate structures connected by a sky bridge on the 2nd level.
Upon entering the establishment, you’ll immediately notice just how vast and spacious their luxurious lobby is.
If you also have a keen eye, you would probably even notice that Midori Clark Hotel and Casino showcases one of the world’s finest Dedon furniture. No doubt, this hotel and casino aims to impress.

I love how the interior uses a lot of beautiful wood decor and uses a lot of earth tones which gives off a very cozy and homey ambiance. Its wide windows that span from the floor to the ceiling allows for ample daylight to enter the lobby while giving guests a wonderful view of their garden outside.
If you’re particular about food, Toscana Dining has tons to offer. They have a wide selection of sweet and savory dishes that are sure to delight any guest whether young or old.
I suggest that before zeroing in on a couple of dishes, make sure to scour the entire spread first. Bon appetit!
If your idea of a good time is kicking back and enjoying a couple of drinks with friends, then the Baccus Lounge is the just the place for you.
Apart from the good selection of wines, beers and spirits, you also get to enjoy a good view of Mt. Arayat from inside the lounge.
During weekends, Baccus also boasts of acoustic band performances which makes for an amazing place to unwind and cap of the evening.
Cafe Midori is perfect for snacks, coffee or perhaps a few cold refreshing drinks while hanging with friends or during business meetings.
Memorable occasions and celebrations can easily be setup and held at the Fest Hall of Midori Clark Hotel and Casino.
This huge venue boasts of a seating capacity of 400 and state of the art facilities.
Gym / Fitness Center
When I’m staying in a hotel, it is usually the case that if you don’t find me in the room or at the cafe, I am most likely at the gym or the fitness center working up a sweat. It is one of the most important places for me when traveling.
Midori Clark Hotel and Casino’s gym is equipped with SportFit equipment that easily meets anyone’s workout requirements.
Of course, a tiring session at the gym or after a hectic day of work (or play), a relaxing massage treatment is most definitely in order.
I highly encourage you to try them out when staying at Midori Clark Hotel and Casino and indulge in top of the line products such as Phytomer and Pevonia Botanica.
I had a great time playing a few rounds over at the slots. I even got the chance to try out their unbelievably HUGE slot machine — the biggest in the Philippines, in fact!
Unfortunately, I couldn’t take photos of it or any area inside the casino for obvious reasons. Just take my word for it. The high-end slot machine is roughly 10 feet tall based on my estimate. Wow.
Our Deluxe Room
The Deluxe Room my wife and I stayed in at Midori Clark Hotel and Casino is nothing short of a breath of fresh air. It is unlike many common hotel rooms we’ve come to expect in other properties.
The very spacious room is beautifully modern in design yet retains an ambiance of comfort and relaxation, all thanks to many of its wooden accents.
You can also expect a good night’s sleep with their Sealy pocket-spring mattress and 300 thread count sheets. Do you find your pillow a tad too soft for your liking? Not a problem, Midori Clark Hotel and Casino also provides a pillow menu so you can choose just the right kind of softness (or hardness).
I love how their bathrooms aren’t too enclosed, giving the entire space of our Deluxe Room a sense of openness.
The shower and toilet areas are separated by glass enclosures. The clear doors you see now are only temporary. Midori will be installing frosting on them very soon to give guests added privacy.
I also took advantage of our Deluxe Room’s outdoor bathtub. Getting a good amount of sunlight on our balcony while relaxing in the tub was most certainly a delight. And hey… the outdoor view was not bad either. Plus points for this!
Notable features of our Deluxe Room:
- Mini Bar with complimentary snacks
- Coffee and tea making facilities
- Iron and ironing board
- Multi-functional media hub
- 47-inch high definition LCD TV and cable/satellite TV channels
- Two telephones
- Dual line phones
- In-room safe
- Rollaway bed and crib upon request
My recent stay at Midori Clark Hotel and Casino was such a treat that it most definitely calls for a repeat in the near future. Whether you’re planning a getaway for work or play, you might want to consider this very new property which, in my opinion, will pleasantly surprise you with everything that it has to offer.
Considering that Midori Clark Hotel and Casino is still on soft opening and they could already deliver the kind of service that they did, I can only expect things to get better and better.
