Everland – A spectacular theme park in South Korea
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the brand, Samsung? Probably smartphones, tablets and televisions.
Little did I know that over in South Korea, Samsung happens to own a spectacularly huge and fantastically created theme park called, Everland. You’re probably surprised yourselves!
So much fun and excitement at Everland
Everland, which is located at the Everland Resort in Yongin which is a city in the Gyeonggi Province, happens to be South Korea’s largest theme park. And boy do I mean LARGE! Apart from that, the place attracts droves and droves of people. Just to give you an idea, Everland ranked 16th in the world for amusement park attendance with roughly 7.3 million visitors back in 2014.
This amazing place is operated by Cheil Industries which was formerly known as Samsung Everland – a subsidiary of the Samsung Group.
The moment I stepped inside, I was immediately overwhelmed by the place. There’s just so much to see and explore. It seems like an entire day isn’t enough to truly experience everything that Everland offers.
Everland is divided into 5 zones: Global Fair, Zoo-Topia, European Adventure, Magic Land and American Adventure.
There really is something for everyone, whatever your idea of fun is.
Everland has exhilarating roller coasters, water attractions, incredible animals, beautiful gardens, scary and thrilling rides, a ton of food stalls and a variety of snack bars.
There really is just so much to see inside this vast wonderland that mere words fail to fully describe, so allow me to speak by way of more photos.
With a ton of places to explore and a considerable amount of walking involved, it would be ideal to wear comfortable shoes and light clothes during your visit to Everland. Also, if you really must bring a bag, best to keep it light and small for obvious reasons. You don’t want anything hindering your enjoyment, do you?
I absolutely enjoyed everything that Everland had to offer. One particular attraction I really enjoyed was the Amazing Safari where they tour you around a vast area using an amphibious bus showcasing a variety of cool animals. Check out this quick Instagram video I made during my trip.
Cool, right?!
Everland theme park is most definitely one amazing stop you wouldn’t want to miss when you visit South Korea.
It doesn’t even matter if you have children in tow or not, or how old you are because inside Everland, we all immediately become kids at heart.
No wonder this fantastic place is called, Everland. Because here, all the fun, laughter and excitement seem to last for-EVER.
Check out Everland’s official website for more details.
