I recently had a short but very sweet staycation down south at Acacia Hotel Manila. It was my first time to experience this fairly established fixture right smack at the heart of Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
And since staycations always make me feel like a kid again, this particular occasion was no different. I was just as giddy as my kids driving to the hotel.
Heading to Acacia Hotel Manila, we were delighted to find out that the establishment is positioned very close to restaurants, malls, groceries and even drugstores. Talk about convenience!
Upon arriving, we went straight to their basement parking (which had ample space, by the way) and took the elevator straight up to the lobby. My family and I were warmly welcomed by the wonderful folks of Acacia Hotel Manila. Check-in was an absolute breeze and before we knew it, we were already being whisked to our room. Yay!
Our Acacia Hotel Manila Executive Suite
Check out this short video my wife created as we made our way to our Executive Suite located …
I think one of the most exciting moments during a hotel stay is that time when you open the door of your room and take a good look inside it for the very first time. And Acacia Hotel Manila most definitely did not disappoint. Our Executive Suite was spacious, bright and very cozy.
The room just felt like home immediately. I was eager to try out Acacia Hotel Manila’s “Dream Bed” which I’ve heard so many good things about. True enough, upon lying down on their bed, it seemed like I didn’t want to get up right away. It had a special orthopedic mattress, a memory foam pillow-top, fluffy goose-feather pillows and duvet for premium comfort. I was already having the time of my life and I haven’t even started experiencing the hotel’s other amenities and facilities.
Also, an extra roll-away bed was set up for our eldest kid. He likes it that way… he gets to move freely and has as much privacy as he pleases. Surprisingly, the extra bed was incredibly comfy as well.
From what I’ve heard, the type of room that we were staying in usually caters to Acacia Hotel Manila’s long staying guests. That’s why the Executive Suite is equipped with a fully functional kitchenette – perfect also for families like ours who have kids who sometimes cannot finish their food in one go and reheating becomes quite a necessity. The oven would prove to be a lifesaver that evening.
Our bathroom was also a delight to behold. Thankfully, it had enough space to fit all four of us at the same time if we so pleased. Not that we were all planning to do our bathroom duties together, but hey… you’ll never know when we might all need to be inside on a given instance, right?
Our hotel room is also equipped with an iron, ironing board and an electronic safe. Nice.

Exploring more of Acacia Hotel Manila
I was curious to know what other facilities and amenities this hotel had to offer, so I decided to look and ask around. I discovered that Acacia Hotel Manila also has the following:

The swimming pool, fitness center (gym) and their spa are all situated on the 3rd floor of Acacia Hotel Manila. Perfect for guests who want to shuttle back and forth from one facility to another. A good workout then a quick swim afterwards, perhaps?
Care for a swim?
Kids and adults will most definitely enjoy a good dip in the water, whether you decide to do a few laps in the pool or simply want to relax in the jacuzzi.
Whatever you choose, you’re sure to get a good dose of sunlight and a great view of the city.
The swimming pool area is open from 6AM-10PM daily.
Fitness Center (Gym)
I was absolutely pleased to discover that Acacia Hotel Manila invested in great gym equipment and a fairly complete set of cardio and resistance machines for those who want to work up a good sweat or build muscle in the fitness center during their stay.
Being a person who cares so much about fitness and not wanting to skip my regular gym days, I immediately made use of the fitness center’s treadmill, free weights and various machines. My wife, who also enjoys working out, joined me without hesitation. We were even able to encourage our two kids to come along and exercise with us. Fun!
We had so much fun inside the fitness center… can you tell by looking at our group photo? Hahaha!
You’d be glad to know that Acacia Hotel Manila’s fitness center is open 24/7. Yes… even in the wee hours of the morning. There really is NO excuse for you NOT to get in shape.
Later in the evening, my wife and I decided to enjoy a good massage at Acacia Hotel Manila’s very own spa called, “Lurra” (an old Spanish name that means “Earth”). The spa is open from 3:30PM to 3AM. In-room massage services are also available from 3:30PM to 12MN.
My wife and I took advantage of Lurra’s couples room. The massage felt amazing! It was the perfect way to end the day before hitting the sack for a good night’s rest (I’m looking at you, DREAM BED!).
