Mo’ Power With Momax iPower GO
Peter Parker once said, “With great power comes great responsibility…”
But with “great responsibility”, one needs “great power” as well…! By great responsibility, I mean that toxic and overwhelming load of work one usually does on his/her smartphone and tablet such as working on business correspondences, creating documents, sending and answering text messages, surfing and, yes, perhaps even doing a loads of video calls. With a ton of things to accomplish, you cannot simply rely on your device’s standard battery power. You will never even make it past 6 hours before your gadget goes kaput.
Thankfully, we now have external power banks to save us from the occasional rush to the nearest electrical outlet to recharge our devices. Power banks come in different capacities so it really depends on personal preference and need. But what if you need a power bank that will keep up with even the heaviest of users? Is there a power bank that can provide an abundance of juice?
You bet your ass, there is!
Check out the Momax iPower GO.
With 11200mAh of power, the Momax iPower GO will easily keep your device juiced up throughout the day and even throughout the next. True to its name, the iPower GO just keeps on… ummm… going.
Got more than one device? No problem. The iPower GO has two ports so you can charge 2 gadgets simultaneously. The first port has an output power of 2.1A – the right amount to be able to easily provide current to charge an iPad. The second port, on the other hand, has an output power of 1A – perfect for any smartphone.
What I also like about the Momax iPower GO is its sophisticated yet sturdy design. It actually looks like a power bank designed by famous luggage manufacturer, Rimowa. It’s small enough to bring along and it’ll never cramp your style.
The Momax iPower GO also has the usual LED indicator lights to show you how much power it has left, so you’re never left wondering how much charging juice there is remaining.
When it comes to multiple charging cycles, more is better than just enough. Why? Why not. Better to have a comfortable allowance just in case a day comes when you really need it. Besides, the iPower GO is easy to bring along.
I have quite a number of power banks… they come in different capacities ranging from 2200mAh to 8000mAh. You can pretty much imagine the kind of gadget bag I bring along whenever I’m away from home for TV show tapings and out of town engagements. Imagine how bulky and heavy it gets at times. What’s a heavy user to do when he can’t bring all of these power banks along on any particular day? What happens when I can bring only one power bank? When push comes to shove, the Momax iPower GO’s 11200mAh capacity will more than suffice.
The Momax iPower GO (11200mAh) costs Php 3,750.00 and is available in the following stores: Beyond The Box, Digital Hub, Digital Walker, Banana Telecom, E-Central, Globotel, iStudio, Microstation, Powerhub and Viewers Telecom.

How do you recharge the power bank? Does it come with AC plug-in adapter?
July 27, 2013 @ 5:31 PM
Nope. You have to have an existing plug plug-in adapter and cable. But that really isn’t much of a problem. You can use the one that comes with your smartphone.

Sorry for the late reply. But normally, a fully depleted power bank with a 11200mAh capacity takes more than just overnight. A couple of hours should be good. How long did it take yours to fully charge?
December 10, 2013 @ 2:21 PM
Just want to verify this. i charged mine & took exactly 12 hours before it fully charged. I know with the size of the mAh, it will definitely take too long to fully charge this. Does this really take 12 hours to fully charge?
December 10, 2013 @ 2:30 PM
Actually, yes. Mine took THAT long to fully charge the bank. Quite long, no? I was actually surprised that it took that long but considering the size, it’s quite understandable. Try using a charger with a higher output like an iPad charger (which is normally 1.5A). Common chargers are pegged at 1.0A or sometimes even lower (800mA).

Many Thanks for your feedback. I was charging the unit with a 1.0A plug, I just thought my unit was having problems. Overall, this power bank is the best i ever had.

Hi, just want to ask, i bought the same powerbank yesterday, and i noticed that once my iphone is fully charged, if i dont remove my phone form the cable, the powerbank lights stay on, is it really like this? i asked because in my mipow powerbank, the unit (powerbank) auto shuts off (lights off) when the iPhone is fully charged. Thanks in advance :)
November 17, 2013 @ 10:48 PM
Some power banks don’t automatically shut off when the phone is fully charged. It’s normal. It’s like constantly being plugged to an electrical outlet.

Hi thanks for your reply, appreciate it, so your momax powerbank also behaves the same way, it doesnt auto shut off if device is still attached? many thanks :)

No problemo! :)

Hi. How would i know if the Momax powerbank is already fully charged? Is it the 4 blinking led lights?
July 18, 2014 @ 12:23 AM
Yes. When all 4 lights are fully lit, that means your power bank is fully charged.
July 23, 2014 @ 3:56 AM
Hi! I recently bought a momax 11200 mah. When I charged the power bank itself, after a couple of minutes, the lights went off. Is that normal? Or should the lights keep on blinking until it's fully charged? Thanks!
June 27, 2015 @ 1:07 PM
Hi. Yes. Me too. Is it okay? Is yours still working? :/

I bought mine last April in Games and Gadgets Megamall. Last week, I noticed that the power bank is not charging. The LED lights aren’t blinking like it was supposed to do. It’s just 5 months old and yet it was already damaged.
I called Games and Gadgets and they told me to that they only have 7 days replacement. I checked MOMAX’s warranty coverage but according to their site (http://www.momax.net/eng/service3.php), I have to ship the damaged unit to China to have it looked at. Also all of the shipment costs should be covered by me. I guess this unit is good as long as it is not damaged too early like mine. Their warranty coverage sucks.

Hi Juvy… there are many factors to consider when it comes to a faulty or damaged power bank, especially when it’s been with you for 5 months already. How often do you use it? How often do you charge it? Could you have possibly used a defective power adapter to charge the power bank with?
October 30, 2014 @ 9:59 PM
how do i turn off the power bank? or it is automatically shutting down?
November 1, 2014 @ 1:21 PM
It automatically turns itself off. Don’t worry :)
July 10, 2015 @ 4:28 PM
Hi! I just want to ask you, should the lights of the power bank be blinking until it’s fully charged? Because mine went off after a few minutes of charging. So how would I know if it’s done charging?
