I love coffee. Perhaps not as much as my wife does, but nevertheless, nothing beats the wonderful aroma of coffee in the morning.
There’s just something magical about coffee, don’t you think? It soothes the soul… it comforts… it brings friends and family together… and it somehow makes working on difficult tasks much easier.
Maybe this is the reason why coffee shops are such a big hit here in the Philippines.
With all the coffee shops that have sprouted in and around the metro, it seems that Filipinos can’t get enough of it. We, Pinoys, are always looking for the next amazing thing when it comes to places that offer our favorite pick-me-upper.
If you find yourself to be part of the majority of Pinoys that are avid coffee lovers, well then I’ve got great news for you.
Costa Coffee, the No.1 coffee chain in London is now in the Philippines, ready to serve delicious drinks for caffeine aficionados to enjoy and experience. This popular coffee shop will be opening their doors on June 29, 2015 at Citywalk 1 in Eastwood City, Quezon City.
Ocean Park Hong Kong is perhaps one of the most sought after places to visit when you head over to the “Shopping mecca of Asia”. And with good reason!
A landmark for decades, Ocean Park Hong Kong is a destination for locals and tourists alike, whether you’re with kids or not.
Whether you’ve been to this amazing place already or planning to visit it for the first time, I am quite confident that you’ll enjoy every attraction that Ocean Park Hong Kong has to offer.
During my recent trip to Hong Kong a couple of weeks back, I had the opportunity to extensively tour around this famed theme park.
As tiring as it may seem to cover the entire site of Ocean Park Hong Kong on foot, the sites to see and the endless fun you’ll have will make you totally forget all about your throbbing feet and tired legs.
Allow me to feature some of the awesome (and notable) attractions of Ocean Park Hong Kong which I consider to be my top picks. Let’s begin, shall we?
Planning a trip up north? There are a ton of places to choose from. Common destinations that immediately come to mind are locations such as Baguio for the cool climate, and La Union for the wonderful beaches and awesome waves that attract the festive surfing crowd.
But, if you want a trip like no other, hit the road and head on over to beautiful Vigan City. Vigan is one of the few remaining Hispanic towns in the Philippines. The old structures of this breathtaking city remain intact and is well-known for its cobblestone streets and distinct meld of oriental and colonial European architecture.
And because exploring this incredible city (which has also been named a UNESCO Heritage Site and recently included as one of the New7Wonders cities) can get you delightfully tired at the end of a hectic day, it is equally important to look for a place to stay where you can relax and recharge during your visit.
During my recent Vigan escapade with friends and family, we were able to experience a truly wonderful stay at Hotel Luna.
One of the most important things to plot out when making a trip locally or abroad is finding a good place to lay your head at the end of a tiring day. Whether it be business or pleasure, one always looks forward to a good night’s rest in order to recharge and relax.
If you happen to be visiting Hong Kong and are staying at the southern district of this bustling city, might I suggest that you include L’Hotel Island South on your shortlist when deciding which establishment to stay in.
A couple of weeks ago, my wife and I, together with some good friends in AirAsia Philippines, visited beautiful Hong Kong. Yes! AirAsia now flies to Hong Kong! (More on that below)
Since part of our itinerary during our brief stay was to visit Ocean Park which is located on the south side of Hong Kong, we naturally had to stay around the same area. So, L’Hotel Island South, it was.
Those who read my blog and follow me on Instagram and Twitter know that I am a fitness buff and a gym rat. I easily get paranoid when it comes to gaining weight and when I slightly veer off my usual diet.
The reason why I am extra cautious and extremely careful not to gain a significant amount of weight is because I was incredibly out of shape not too long ago.
It’s true! For the benefit of those who thought I was this fit my whole life, you’d probably be amused to know that sometime back in 2010 (more or less), I weighed 185 lbs! For someone who merely stands 5’6″ tall, 185 lbs. is not at all good… any way you look at it.
So, when I decided to hit the gym and dedicated myself to getting healthy and fit, I promised to press on and never look back.
In a span of 6 months, I achieved my goal and reached my ideal weight of 138 lbs.
But, anyone would be wise to know that fitness NOT a goal. It is a lifestyle… a way of life. And for some, the real struggle is not in the process of losing weight, but in the never ending battle of keeping the weight in check. This is usually the case for people like me who easily gain. That’s why being paranoid and extremely careful of my diet is more often a necessity.
And with this constant fight against the flab, I try to find new ways to help make the battle a little bit easier.
Luckily, I discovered something that effectively aides in maintaining my weight and allows me to indulge a little bit more in the kinds of food I would normally try to avoid on a regular basis.
