Boracay is one of the most visited islands in the Philippines. It is pretty much the go-to destination for locals and tourists alike not just for summer but all year round. And with good reason.
Just recently, Boracay has once again been named Conde Nast’s, “World’s Best Island”, which isn’t really any surprise to anyone who’s been to this breathtaking paradise. That’s why it’s no wonder that many of Boracay’s visitors come to its beautiful beaches to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and to de-stress.
But, let’s face it. With all the available accommodation options on the island, it really is quite difficult choosing which place to stay at. We all want to stretch our budget whenever we’re away on travel, right? But not to the point of compromising quality service, naturally. If you’re the type of person who is looking for the perfect balance of comfort and affordability, I’ve got just the right place for you.
This wonderful hotel which you can call your “home away from home” during your getaway is called, Azalea Boracay.
Have you ever seen those amazing Bamboo bicycles around the metro? The ones being rented out and used for tours around places like Intramuros in Manila and Bonifacio Global City? Well, chances are, you probably have since they’ve already become quite the attraction in many hotels, establishments and tourist spots as of late. The response by those who’ve seen and even experienced riding these bikes turned out overwhelmingly positive.
For those who aren’t aware, these beautifully created bamboo bicycles are actually called Bambikes. It also happens to be the very name of the company that builds these amazing eco-friendly rides — Bambike!

During holy week, most folks including a good number of my friends usually head out to various summer destinations. Given that holy week presents a long holiday, it is the best window to plan a vacation.
But it has somewhat been customary for #TheDreys (That’s us!) to stay in the metro and enjoy the peacefulness of the city while seemingly two thirds of the metro’s population are elsewhere. This year was no different… although, instead of literally staying at home, we decided to close out holy week (Black Saturday and Easter Sunday) at F1 Hotel Manila — our home in Bonifacio Global City (BGC).
So, together with other members of The KTG (Kain Tulog Gang) family, we spent an incredibly fun getaway at F1 Hotel Manila, filled with fun, festivities and FOOD!
The little speaker that could. That’s how I would probably describe the Carbon Audio Pocket Speaker. You’d think that something that can easily fit inside your shirt pocket cannot possibly produce sound so rich and full. Not to mention, loud. You’ll notice immediately when you open the Carbon Audio Pocket Speaker that its design is […]
The MyPhone Infinity is here. It’s sleek. It’s sexy. And it looks nothing like those cheesy plastic-ish local phones we’ve grown accustomed to seeing being sold all over. In fact, the MyPhone Infinity’s design and form factor kind of resembles a larger iPhone 5. Anyone who’s held this phone in their hands and have seen […]
If you’ve got a mobile device (like a smartphone or a tablet), then you know very well the perils of a dying battery and the urgency of having a good power bank on hand all the time. All power banks are the same with regards to use and purpose. It is to conveniently provide power […]

The past few weeks have been very taxing for me. A string of events here and there, plus I had to finish a good number of songs on my workstation at home for a couple of clients. All these commitments and important deadlines have cost me much needed sleep. I feared so much that my […]
Summer is just around the corner. Gyms are packed with people getting their bodies ready for the beach and some fun under the sun. Of course, working out and lifting weights are great and all, but there are a couple of things one can additionally do in order to hasten the shedding of fat and […]
The first thing that comes to mind when I hear the name “Matabungkay” is childhood memories. If you are more or less my age, living in the Philippines back in the ’80s and early ’90s, it is quite impossible not to know Matabungkay Beach Club. It is one of the most popular and notable destination […]
The first time I tried Denny’s was during my trip to Guam last year when I joined the Guam Ko’ko Road Race Marathon. I immediately fell in love with the dishes because, for one thing, the food tastes great. But another reason is because I absolutely enjoy breakfast meals — pancakes, bacon (Oh, God! The […]

Had a quick informal meeting at Burger Company the other night just after my circuit training session at the gym. I figured I could use a good amount of protein right after a grueling “Ultimate Spartacus” workout. I’ve tasted Burger Company‘s amazing burgers before but only thru delivery and take out. It was the first […]
One of the best ways to create wonderful family bonding moments on a regular basis is by encouraging family members to enjoy the activities you love doing. It doesn’t matter what kind of activity so long as it is wholesome and everyone can get in on the fun. Biking, dining out, movies, game boards, whatever… […]
Did some interval training last night. It was a combination of chest and bicep exercises combined with a minute of intense cardio (stationary bike on this occasion) in between each set. This particular evening, I added more weight to my chest presses. I also mixed up bar and dumbbell combinations for bulk and definition. I […]
It’s sad that I have to write yet another rant on my blog about SkyCable’s internet service – SkyBroadband. I am trying to bite my tongue so to speak, as I’m clacking away on my keyboard, trying to find less offensive words to say. I’ll just keep this short and sweet brief because I might […]
AirAsia Runway Ready Designer Search, the regional fashion designer competition kicked off its first round of auditions at Manila today. During this round, Jerome Tayao and Maria “Esme” Palaganas have been chosen to represent the Philippines in the Grand Finale which takes place in Kuala Lumpur this August.

Following through on AirAsia’s commitment to return to Clark International Airport, the world’s best low cost airline marked its […]
The past 3 days, which I spent in Malaysia, allowed me to cover (and witness) just how involved AirAsia is in supporting new innovations and great ideas through their inaugural regional hackathon called, AIRVOLUTION 2017. During my visit to AirAsia’s breathtaking headquarters named, RedQ, which also happens to be one of the coolest office spaces […]
After quite a while (more than a year, I think), my wife suddenly had the urge to run outside and do some cardio. It amused me so much that I decided to tag along and record her short sprint around the block on video. Guess what I did with the video clips I recorded… I […]
