One of the most important things to plot out when making a trip locally or abroad is finding a good place to lay your head at the end of a tiring day. Whether it be business or pleasure, one always looks forward to a good night’s rest in order to recharge and relax.
If you happen to be visiting Hong Kong and are staying at the southern district of this bustling city, might I suggest that you include L’Hotel Island South on your shortlist when deciding which establishment to stay in.
A couple of weeks ago, my wife and I, together with some good friends in AirAsia Philippines, visited beautiful Hong Kong. Yes! AirAsia now flies to Hong Kong! (More on that below)
Since part of our itinerary during our brief stay was to visit Ocean Park which is located on the south side of Hong Kong, we naturally had to stay around the same area. So, L’Hotel Island South, it was.
Those who read my blog and follow me on Instagram and Twitter know that I am a fitness buff and a gym rat. I easily get paranoid when it comes to gaining weight and when I slightly veer off my usual diet.
The reason why I am extra cautious and extremely careful not to gain a significant amount of weight is because I was incredibly out of shape not too long ago.
It’s true! For the benefit of those who thought I was this fit my whole life, you’d probably be amused to know that sometime back in 2010 (more or less), I weighed 185 lbs! For someone who merely stands 5’6″ tall, 185 lbs. is not at all good… any way you look at it.
So, when I decided to hit the gym and dedicated myself to getting healthy and fit, I promised to press on and never look back.
In a span of 6 months, I achieved my goal and reached my ideal weight of 138 lbs.
But, anyone would be wise to know that fitness NOT a goal. It is a lifestyle… a way of life. And for some, the real struggle is not in the process of losing weight, but in the never ending battle of keeping the weight in check. This is usually the case for people like me who easily gain. That’s why being paranoid and extremely careful of my diet is more often a necessity.
And with this constant fight against the flab, I try to find new ways to help make the battle a little bit easier.
Luckily, I discovered something that effectively aides in maintaining my weight and allows me to indulge a little bit more in the kinds of food I would normally try to avoid on a regular basis.
Pasta is good for you. In fact, it’s the better kind of carbohydrate compared to white bread and rice.
But did you know that pasta is good for your smartphone and tablet as well? It’s true! Just not the kind of pasta you think, though.
The Pasta I’m referring to is the cool looking charge and sync cable created by thecoopidea (The Coop Idea).
They say that a car is the extension of your own home.
If that is the case, then naturally, the extension of your home should be every bit just as homey, comfortable and secure, wouldn’t you think?
Call it coincidence or call it fate, but my wife and I have long been planning to get a new car for our family and it just so happens that we were given a most welcome opportunity to try out the Chevrolet Sonic for a couple of days. Apart from that, it was serendipitous that during the same time we were to test drive this cute yet sturdy looking vehicle, our family was also scheduled to travel up north and visit the cities of Vigan and Baguio.
It was the perfect window to see what the Chevrolet Sonic had to offer in terms of performance.
But, hey… let’s admit it. One doesn’t depend on performance alone when choosing a car. Looks also play an important part and is a major factor in the deciding process. So, before we head out on the road, let’s have a look-see to find out if the Chevrolet Sonic is every bit a beauty.
The Chevrolet Sonic is a sub-compact car that combines bold styling, state-of-the-art connectivity features and engine performance in one smart vehicle package. Given its looks and size, the Chevrolet Sonic obviously caters to the new generations’ multi-faceted lifestyle and seems to be the perfect vehicle for customers who want more than just a simple car to get around the metro.
Who doesn’t love protective cases? Apart from a case’s main purpose of keeping your device unharmed from nicks and bumps, it also gives your phone some much needed character.
A case’s design is a statement. It also tells a lot about you and your individuality. And hey, admit it… we are all about standing out and being unique, right?
That being said, I’m featuring a brand that is known to produce beautifully sleek and very functional protective cases for various smartphones and tablets – Urban Armor Gear (UAG for short).
And since I can’t showcase all their cases in one fell swoop (because they’ve got lots!), lemme start with just one for now… their “Maverick” for the iPhone 6.
Since I love the sleek clean look of my iPhone 6, it was a no-brainer that I’d be partial to the Maverick’s “clear” variant. That way, I get the best of both worlds – beauty and functionality.
