My wife and I are very competitive in every single thing we do. We love to outdo one another so much that it becomes hilarious at times.
So, it wasn’t any wonder that when our daughter’s (Isabella) school — Kids World — had their sportsfest last October 21, 2017, we attended the event with our game faces on. Hahaha! I’m always game for a little bit of competition every now and then. So was my wife.
There were lots of fun activities during the sportsfest and I had a great time bonding with Ella’s other schoolmates and classmates, not to mention her teachers and other parents.
VLOG: AirAsia expands ASEAN connectivity with new direct flights from Manila to Bali, Jakarta and Ho Chi Minh!
There seems to be no stopping AirAsia’s commitment to continuously add more routes as a truly Asean airline.
Earlier today, Philippines AirAsia just announced that they will start servicing flights from Manila to Bali and Jakarta in Indonesia and to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. That’s right! Three (3) new direct routes that I’m really looking forward to.
I was fortunate to be a part of the simple and very intimate event that Philippines AirAsia setup at Bawai’s Vietnamese Kitchen at Uptown Parade in BGC to announce their newest direct flights.
I finally did it! I tried Durian! Much to the non-stop and persistent convincing of my wife to try it at least once.
During our recent trip to Davao City (last week), she figured there was no better time to do a Durian Challenge. So, with the participation of my wife and our very good friend, Mae Ilagan of “When In Manila”, I finally mustered up the courage to take on the notorious fruit known for its strong pungent smell.
The Durian Challenge was a success in a way — considering I did eat the fruit.
The outcome, however, is a totally different story as you will see on the video. LOL!
Guess what, guys. The “City of Love” has never been closer! That’s because AirAsia is now flying to Iloilo International Airport, the primary gateway to Western Visayas and Panay region. The airline voted the World’s Best Low Cost Carrier for nine years running flew its maiden flight from Manila to Iloilo today with Dinagyang-themed festivities held at both Manila and Iloilo airports to welcome guests and passengers.
For the benefit of my foreign readers who aren’t aware, the Dinagyang festival is Iloilo’s most celebrated religious and cultural festival held every January.
I was fortunate enough to be a part of this inaugural flight which brings me back to Iloilo after 3 long years.
Adobo is one of those dishes my family and I absolutely love. It doesn’t spoil easily and it also happens to become more flavorful the longer its kept.
Filipinos just can’t get enough of adobo, with nearly all regions in the country spawning their own unique variants of this vinegar-and-soy-sauce-laced comfort dish. Considered a strong contender for “pambansang ulam,” adobo teases one’s tastebuds with the enticing blend of sour, sweet, and savory, evoking both the simplicity and richness of Filipino cuisine. It has endeared itself with all manner of foodies and captured the hearts of Filipinos and foreigners alike.
More often than not, when you ask a foreigner what Filipino dish they enjoy the most, one of the most mentioned dishes is Adobo. And with good reason.
If you thought that you’ve already seen, heard, or tasted everything that this quintessential Filipino dish has to offer, think again! Leading condiment brand, Datu Puti, presents an innovative and convenient way of cooking the classic Pinoy comfort food through its “Adobo Series”.
It’s a common problem for most travelers and perhaps a concern also for some individuals and families who own a ton of smart devices at home… the lack of available electrical outlets to simultaneously charge your tablet and smartphones. I’ve experienced this dilemma countless times during hotel staycations and out of town getaways. Just imagine… each […]

Let me be the first to say it in case you felt the same way, Airdrop sucks balls every so often. It’s faulty and it isn’t reliable. It’s great when it works but it’s such a pain when it doesn’t. And boy does it falter quite often. I sometimes take countless minutes trying to detect […]

Guys, it’s that time of the year once again when we recognize and vote for our favorite restaurants, food establishments and gastronomic bets. The Choice 2017 is upon us. I love food because it evokes all sorts of emotions. Different flavors allow us to experience a variety of feelings and even nostalgia. I always look forward to trying out all kinds of dishes, old, new… and yes, even reinvented ones. That’s why heading to the Joy Ride! by NutriAsia food truck was something I […]
This digital age we now live in is really amazing. Imagine… it has changed the way we live, in virtually every way. Wouldn’t you agree? It has changed the way we shop, the way we eat, and most especially, the way we travel. When you go abroad, every single moment is precious — and the […]
AirAsia Runway Ready Designer Search, the regional fashion designer competition kicked off its first round of auditions at Manila today. Resorts are a dime a dozen nowadays. So many know of beaches and popular relaxation destinations in places like Kalibo, Bohol, and Palawan. It’s so difficult to decide where to go. But did you know that a paradise-like location can practically be found just beside Metro Manila? A wonderful breathtaking getaway which is just a comfortable […]

I just wanna thank Ibba Rasul Bernardo as well as Tracey Gonzales and the amazing guys of Tenkie Box for sending over the replacement unit for my damaged Otterbox Reflex case for my iPhone 5s. During my tour of Kuala Lumpur last year, I removed my iPhone off of its Otterbox Reflex casing so I […]
People have been going crazy recently and getting so uptight about this much talked about “Fair Use Policy” by telcos. Globe Telecom in particular has been taking a lot of heat because of this widely contested and greatly opposed mobile data regulation. The Globe Fair Use Policy (FUP) For those who aren’t too keen about […]
The best treats are normally the ones you never really expect. This is pretty much how I would put in a single sentence my short but sweet stay at Winford Hotel and Casino in Manila. Little did I know that right smack in the middle of the bustling Manila scene, I would happen to chance […]

This is one fuuuunnny video by College Humor entitled, “Look At This Instagram”… what adds to its hilariousness is the actual truth the parody depicts. Every frickin’ Instragram user can relate to it! The video isn’t very new. Nevertheless, I’m posting it here for those who haven’t seen it yet and for those who want […]
For those who weren’t able to watch my episode of “Weekend Getaway” last Saturday on GMA News TV, here is an excerpt of some of the fun my wife and I had in San Juan, Batangas. The video below shows me and Yen “kungo” hunting… Kungo, which is similar to a coconut crab, is very […]
