Imagine heading off to the beach for some much needed downtime or happily backpacking around a European countryside. Exciting, right? Now imagine finding out during your trip that your money, card and passport are missing. That’s a very scary thought — and a very real possibility whenever you’re out traveling.
Thieves are very cunning and always preying on individuals, especially those whose mind is preoccupied on so many other things, which is exactly how we are when in transit or busy doing other activities.
Fortunately, we need not be helpless when criminals strike. Pacsafe has made sure of that.
Pacsafe is a brand of bags that aren’t just stylish and attractive. These products are designed mainly to protect the valuable items that you bring along with you wherever you go and preventing thieves from stealing them away from you.
You’ve probably already heard of this popular brand especially if you’re serious about security.
Tagaytay is one place I never grow tired of visiting. It’s one of the best escape destinations that isn’t too far from Manila, making it easily accessible and convenient to travel to.
Apart from its pleasant climate, scenic Taal Lake and Volcano, and mouthwatering bulalo, I recently discovered a new restaurant that has given me more reason to keep on returning to Tagaytay — Amacena at One Tagaytay Place Hotel.
Amacena is an incredibly cozy and easygoing restaurant that boasts of a great selection of dishes carefully concocted and prepared by Executive Chef Luigi Muhlach. If his name sounds familiar, then you’re probably an ‘80s kid. Luigi Muhlach used to go by his childhood name — Igi Boy — a household name back in the day when his showbiz parents (and good friends of mine), Aga Muhlach and Janice de Belen, used to mention his name regularly on television.
Ice cream parlors are a dime a dozen all over the metro. It’s easy to find a place that can easily give you a quick fix when you’re craving for something cold, creamy and sweet.
But when you really want to take your appreciation of ice cream to a whole new level, nothing could possibly come close to the newly opened Freezer Burn at Bonifacio High Street, BGC.
Freezer Burn is Tasteless Group’s newest concept ice cream store. In case you aren’t aware, Tasteless Group happens to be the company behind popular (and successful) establishments such as Hole in the Wall, Scout’s Honor, Fowl Bread, Le Petit Souffle, and much more.
It’s a great time for Indian cuisine lovers.
The Cafe at Hyatt City of Dreams Manila is currently having a spectacular showcase of Indian dishes from now until July 24th called the Road to Gurgaon.
Two spreads at their buffet area are dedicated to the amazing flavorful Indian dishes created by Guest Chef Ajith Kumar of the Hyatt Regency Gurgaon, New Delhi, whom they flew in just for this occasion.
Just recently, I had one of the most unique staycations that has left me completely refreshed and rejuvenated.
Typical staycations that are meant to be a means to escape and de-stress are usually spent in hotels and resorts. There’s nothing wrong with that. I love those kinds of getaways… In fact, my family and I regularly do this kind of activity because it’s great.
But one of my more recent “escapes” proved to be extra special not only because of the incredible experience it provided but also the undeniable positive effect it had on me and my wife.
You see, I recently had the pleasure of spending 2 days (overnight stay) at Nurture Wellness Village to enjoy a different kind of getaway… one that involved a kind of sleepover that was new to me — Glamping!

South Africa is known for many things for its rich heritge and culture. No wonder it is one of the more sought after destination spots in the world. Little did I know that even superb wine comes from this amazing place. One name that easily comes to mind when great wine is spoken of is […]
Great food. Wonderful music. That’s exactly what I recently experienced at a fairly young restaurant I visited just a week ago called, Jet 7 Bistro. I was able to drop by the “Press and Bloggers Night” of Jet 7 Bistro to see why this place is fast becoming one of the more talked about establishments […]
They say a picture says a thousand words, then I guess a video clip speaks millions. Since I recently attended ETC Channel‘s “American Idol” press and bloggers videoke party a few weeks back, instead of describing how fun it was through words and images, allow me to post ETC’s recap video of this event. Enjoy! […]
Please watch out for me on GMA-7’s wacky celebrity game show, “Celebrity Bluff“. It will be the program’s Christmas episode which will be aired this Saturday (Dec 21, 2013) at 9:15PM. The show is hosted by Ms. Eugene Domingo with her really funny sidekicks, Jose Manalo, Brod Pete & Boobay. It’s gonna be fun, exciting […]
They don’t make things like they used to. Don’t you agree? My wife and I still use this retro Osterizer of my childhood days until now. This is the very blender I used to play with back in the early 1980s. Talk about heavy duty. Now that’s getting your money’s worth. Cool, ain’t it?
Pictures do not fully describe the true devastation caused by Typhoon Yolanda. This was the thought that first crossed my mind when I visited the devastated towns of Sara and Carles in the province of Iloilo. These Visayas towns are just some of the places that are in really terrible shape in the wake of […]
Just a quick hello (and goodbye) before I, together with a few good friends who happen to be cool bloggers, too, fly to Iloilo (with the help of our awesome friends from Air Asia Zest) to help out on relief efforts for victims of Typhoon Yolanda. I’ll keep you all posted from time to time.
