Sunday is usually the day when families head out to dine together and have fun. Our family is no exception. While it’s great to dine at places that have been long time favorites of ours, it’s equally fun when we discover new dining spots to spend our next Sunday get-together.
Just a couple of Sundays ago, we dropped by Fairmont Makati where Spectrum holds some of the best Sunday brunches around. True enough, their newest offering called the Sunday Brunch at The Ranch at Spectrum is no less spectacular.
The showcase of dishes and flavorful offerings are guaranteed to make any guest exclaim, “Yeehaw!”, in delight just like any cowboy or cowgirl would do.
Enjoy the western “high-life” at Sunday Brunch at The Ranch at Spectrum. This festive and gastronomic rodeo of delicious dishes happens every Sunday from 12NN to 3PM.

Up until just recently, I never knew that there were so many wonderful establishments where one can indulge in great food in Bataan.
It’s true. For a good while back, I merely regarded Bataan as a typical “pass-through” province – a place one passes through in order to reach an intended destination. Boy, was I wrong. If you thought the same, then you’re gonna be pleasantly surprised while reading this post.
During my recent visit to Bataan to attend their wonderful Pawikan Festival, I discovered amazing (and sometimes quite interesting) food spots that locals and foreigners will enjoy visiting. Let’s have a quick tour around some of the great places to eat in Bataan, shall we?
Summer is just around the corner. Gyms are packed with people getting their bodies ready for the beach and some fun under the sun.
Of course, working out and lifting weights are great and all, but there are a couple of things one can additionally do in order to hasten the shedding of fat and achieving your goal in no time.
I, likewise, have started putting in more time doing cardio and a good amount of circuit training. But apart from that, I’ve become more conscious of the kinds of food I eat and also the particular times of the day I can enjoy them. Because, in case you aren’t aware yet, as much as physical activities are important, diet plays a very very big part in any weight loss program.

I love Thai food. It’s like a festival of amazing flavors playing inside your mouth. You get dishes that are sour and spicy or sweet and tangy all at the same time. Thai food also looks just as good as it tastes, making it incredibly hard to ignore (or turn down). Unfortunately, really good Thai […]
I love eating spicy food and curry is no exception. Every now and then, I’d ask my wife to whip something up in the kitchen that has a touch of curry in it like Chicken or Beef Curry, perhaps. But apart from having them at home or heading over to the nearest Indian restaurant (which […]

An image took last Thursday during our taping of GMA-7’s Afternoon Prime telenovela, “Magdalena”. This pic shows me, Dion Ignacio, Bodie Cruz and Ryan Eigenmann doing a scene on the street. Directing us is Ms. Gina Alajar. Image courtesy of our wonderful GMA-7 production beauty, Ms. Alfie Alonso (Thank you, Ms. Alfie!)
After quite a while (more than a year, I think), my wife suddenly had the urge to run outside and do some cardio. It amused me so much that I decided to tag along and record her short sprint around the block on video. Guess what I did with the video clips I recorded… I […]

I’m a sucker for food. I love eating although it doesn’t quite show now because of the drastic diet and fitness regimen that I had to go through 2 years ago wherein I lost 50lbs in roughly 4 months (185lbs. down to 135lbs.) It takes a substantial amount of effort to stay fit. In fact, […]
PREVIOUS PARTS: Day 1 (Part 1 of 3), Day 1 (Part 2 of 3) Our next destination… the busy, crowded, festive and restaurant-riddled street of Jalan Alor. This is one long strip of road that seems to never sleep at night. The entire stretch of Jalan Alor is lined with all sorts of food stalls, with […]
PREVIOUS PART: Day 1 (Part 1 of 3) Our first stop along the way was the new National Palace of Malaysia called, Istana Negara. To say that Istana Negara is BIG is an understatement. Huge does not even come close to describing the place. Istana Negara is absofrickinlutely massive! You’ve got to be there to actually realize how […]
