I love discovering wonderful hotels that aren’t too far from home (aka “within the metro”) which make you feel as if you’ve truly escaped from the city. Many of these places around may claim to have this kind of appeal but only a few can truly deliver.
One such establishment that happened to be a pleasant surprise is Meranti Hotel, located along Sct. Castor St. in Quezon City, just right beside the first and original Max’s Restaurant.

It’s a great time once again for AirAsia as they become the first ever airline company in Southeast Asia to operate the Airbus A320neo which is powered by CFM International LEAP-1A engines.
I am truly honored to have been invited by AirAsia Philippines to fly to Malaysia to personally witness the incredible plane’s Welcoming Ceremony, headed by none other than AirAsia’s big boss and all-around good guy, Tan Sri Tony Fernandes.
Destressing normally needs a good amount of distraction to take your mind away from the usual concerns of everyday life. Now, how one destresses really varies from person to person. My usual and preferred way of relaxation is hitting the gym to lift a few weights and do a couple of laps on the treadmill (or outdoors). But just recently, I was introduced to a very different means of relaxation and well-being — Yoga. No, not the kind of yoga that requires a good amount of body flexing and stretching. I’m talking about FACE YOGA.
FUNNY FACE YOGA to be exact!
iOS 10 bricked my iPhone 6s when I updated OTA (“Over The Air” aka via device only).
I was so eager to update that the moment iOS 10 popped up on the Software Update section of General Settings, I just clicked on “Download and Update” and went to sleep.
To my horror, when I woke up, I was greeted by a bricked device! Holy hell!
It’s happened to me more than once – I’m in one of my teleserye tapings and some of the scenes that I’m included in are spread out really far apart… or I’m holed up in a vehicle bored out of my wits during a really daunting roadtrip. So, what does one do during these loooong […]
A month after getting an iPad Mini, only now have we actually fitted our device with protective casing. I guess my wife wanted to savor its “commando look” before pimping it up with a much needed cover. Can’t blame us… you know how handsome these Apple gadgets are especially when struttin’ it around in all […]

I had an absolute blast a couple of nights ago when I was invited by my good friends from Discovery Primea especially Executive Chef Luis Chikiamco to an intimate yet spectacular dinner at Tapenade. Since the first time I visited Tapenade at Discovery Primea, it has always remained one of my top go-to restaurants for excellent […]
If there is one place you should visit at Eastwood City Walk, it’s most definitely Liberty Asian Refuge + Bar. Great comfort food at very reasonable prices.
Lack of focus and stress are some of the terrible effects of being hungry while stuck in traffic. Thank God for the Snickers Don’t Drive Hungry initiative!
Had my haircut yesterday (long overdue). Off to the gym now for a much needed workout before my pictorial in the afternoon.
My little daughter, Ella, loves YouTube. She loves watching “do-it-yourself” videos, music videos and a ton of clips. She loves it so much that she, together with a couple of her BFFs (Monica & Hannah), decided to put up their own YouTube channel called, “3 Awesome Angels”. Check out their introduction video below… They plan […]
LaBoracay season is the wildest time of the year in one of the world’s most beautiful islands. Check out my Globe LaBoracay 2016 experience last weekend.
