If you’ve been following me on social media, you probably already know that I recently visited Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. I went there as part of an entourage that celebrated the launch of AirAsia’s direct flight from Manila to Ho Chi Minh.
Have you been following my blog? Well, if you have, you probably already know, by way of one of my recent posts, of how our household’s consumption of entertainment content has already transitioned and switched to mostly streaming via broadband.
I am slowly finding fewer reasons to stick to conventional sources of content such as cable television and free (on-air) TV. And with Globe At Home’s latest offering, my resolve to further leave cable and over-the-air television behind has never been stronger.
Globe At Home is now giving Filipinos even more ways to enjoy the latest in entertainment with the launch of its truly awesome Globe Streamwatch Roku Powered device. Yes. You heard that right — Roku! If you aren’t new to streaming devices, you know for a fact that Roku is one of the most well known brands in the market. And with good reason.
My wife and I are very competitive in every single thing we do. We love to outdo one another so much that it becomes hilarious at times.
So, it wasn’t any wonder that when our daughter’s (Isabella) school — Kids World — had their sportsfest last October 21, 2017, we attended the event with our game faces on. Hahaha! I’m always game for a little bit of competition every now and then. So was my wife.
There were lots of fun activities during the sportsfest and I had a great time bonding with Ella’s other schoolmates and classmates, not to mention her teachers and other parents.
VLOG: AirAsia expands ASEAN connectivity with new direct flights from Manila to Bali, Jakarta and Ho Chi Minh!
There seems to be no stopping AirAsia’s commitment to continuously add more routes as a truly Asean airline.
Earlier today, Philippines AirAsia just announced that they will start servicing flights from Manila to Bali and Jakarta in Indonesia and to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. That’s right! Three (3) new direct routes that I’m really looking forward to.
I was fortunate to be a part of the simple and very intimate event that Philippines AirAsia setup at Bawai’s Vietnamese Kitchen at Uptown Parade in BGC to announce their newest direct flights.
I finally did it! I tried Durian! Much to the non-stop and persistent convincing of my wife to try it at least once.
During our recent trip to Davao City (last week), she figured there was no better time to do a Durian Challenge. So, with the participation of my wife and our very good friend, Mae Ilagan of “When In Manila”, I finally mustered up the courage to take on the notorious fruit known for its strong pungent smell.
The Durian Challenge was a success in a way — considering I did eat the fruit.
The outcome, however, is a totally different story as you will see on the video. LOL!
My wife just recently turned 41… Yay! “The Dreys” (that’s us!) made sure to celebrate this special occasion by way of a fun and totally spontaneous lunch out at the Araneta Center, Cubao branch of Four Seasons Buffet and Hotpot.
One of the main reasons why we chose this place is because my wife absolutely loves Chinese food. And since I’m not really partial to that kind of cuisine (not that I don’t like it, though), we figured that Four Seasons Buffet and Hotpot would offer the best of both worlds. She gets her Chinese fix and hotpot goodness (plus points for that!) and I get to enjoy the kind of dishes I love like steak, shrimp tempura and sushi!
And since this was a quick afternoon escape that included every single person in the household, that meant Max — out teacup Pomeranian — had to come along, too. Why? Because no one would be able to watch over him at home while we’re out. Unfortunately, the restaurant we were going to doesn’t allow animals inside. So, we decided to drop Max off at Pet Express located just 10 minutes away by foot from Four Seasons Buffet and Hotpot. Pet Express offers boarding services during operating hours. It was the perfect solution. (They only charge Php50 per hour in case you wanna know.)
Hey! Hey! I recently attended the E! Bloggers Ball 2017 which was held at City of Dreams Manila last September 16, 2017. I had an incredible time celebrating with fellow bloggers and influencers in the Philippine online scene.
I made sure to look my spiffiest. Haha!
Oh, God…! I’ve been meaning to make this post as soon as I finish editing my entire vlog entry about my recent trip to Bohol to explore the beautiful town of Ubay and to attend the annual Sandugo Festival.
I didn’t anticipate that it would take longer than expected completing the vlog post since I had something like 5 days worth of footage to work on. Yikes!
So, instead of forcing the issue, I decided to just split the vlog entry into two parts. Pretty reasonable considering that this first part which covers day 1 upto half of day 2 is already about 20 minutes long (what???). Yup.
I had so much fun making this vlog entry mainly because I also had a great time during this particular visit. Kudos to the awesome folks from Ubay Tourism for making us feel right at home immediately.
I recently took my family on a quick road trip to Nueva Ecija to check out the recently opened branch of Isdaan Floating Restaurant.
Isdaan Floating Restaurant has long been a popular destination and stopover spot for locals and tourists alike. They serve great food and offer up some fun and novelty attractions.
If you’ve already been to their original branch in Tarlac and fell in love with its unique ambiance, you’re surely gonna enjoy Isdaan in Nueva Ecija. It retains the same atmosphere and ambiance that we have come to know.
