A short list of great places to eat in Bataan

Up until just recently, I never knew that there were so many wonderful establishments where one can indulge in great food in Bataan.

Loleng’s Hu Tieu-an

Places to eat in Bataan

This quaint little Vietnamese eatery is owned by (you guessed it!) Loleng, a Filipina who usedto work in a Vietnamese refugee camp in Morong back in the 70s and 80s. This roadside food spot has been serving bowls and bowls of delicious (and very affordable) Hu Tieu for 15 years already.

Wondering what Hu Tieu is? Well, Hu Tieu is basically the cousin of Pho (a hearty noodle soup consisting of rice noodles in a golden brown broth of pork slices, beans and leeks.
