Happy Times at Hotel Celeste

Family bonding is something that I take quite seriously. My wife and I always make it a point to find ways to spend good quality time with our kids on a regular basis.

Good quality time need not be far from the city nor should it be pricey. What matters is how these moments are spent.

That being said, my family recently had the opportunity to have an overnight stay at Hotel Celeste right smack in the heart of Makati City. It was the perfect way for my wife and I to spend time bonding with the kids.

Check out our brief yet enjoyable stay at Hotel Celeste as well as our fun family time together…

Hotel Celeste Makati - Lobby

Upon arrival at Hotel Celeste, we were immediately welcomed by the doorman as valet personnel promptly took care of our vehicle.

Inside, we were met by Ms. Cherry Anne Lopez, Marketing Associate of Hotel Celeste. She led us to our table inside the establishment’s in-house restaurant – “Lucia Ristorante”.

Hotel Celeste Makati - Lucia Ristorante

This fairly popular dining place is not new to us since my wife and I have been here a couple of months back during their opening (read all about it on my wife’s blog). I even spent my birthday lunch here with my family last year.

We enjoyed the wonderful food at Lucia Ristorante which was prepared and cooked by Chef Lombardi. Here are a few of the dishes we enjoyed during lunch…

Since my wife is more of a foodie than myself, it’s quite hard for me to describe these dishes in detail… apart from knowing that they ALL tasted wonderful! If you need more details about Lucia Ristorante’s dishes (coming from a true blue foodie), head on over to my wife’s blog post by clicking here.

Before wrapping up lunch, we just had to have a group photo. Who wouldn’t?

After about an hour, we were led to our suite so we could settle in and rest.

Hotel Celeste Makati Room

Our suite is actually named after a French queen… “Marie Antoinette“.

Our kids couldn’t resist running to and fro, checking every bit of detail inside our hotel room. They we’re gleefully noisy and happily jumping around. I can completely understand since, I myself, enjoy long and short staycations regardless of distance and place. Any chance to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday activities is most certainly a welcome treat.

Hotel Celeste Makati - Bed

My wife and I absolutely loved the surprise goodies and knick-knacks we found on our bed together with Hotel Celeste’s welcome letter.

Hotel Celeste Makati - Surpise

There were cupcakes for the kids, L’Occitane toiletries and coffee mugs for us.

How thoughtful and sweet. Thank you, Hotel Celeste! *hugs!*

Hotel Celeste Makati - bathroom

My wife and I also loved the clean, appealing and very spacious bathroom.

Hotel Celeste Makati - Toiletries

My wife was very happy with the toiletries, too! This is a major plus since my wife is very particular with bathrooms.

Hotel Celeste’s themed room is quite different than most hotel rooms we’ve been to before. But it’s a pleasant kind of different. The european-inspired feel of the place is a wonderful change for us.

After a couple of hours settling in and enjoying the hotel’s ambiance, we decided to go out and walk to the mall. Yes! Makati malls like Greenbelt and Glorietta are just beside Hotel Celeste. Such a convenience to not have to drive or look for parking.

Before leaving, we realized that we might not make it back to the hotel in time for dinner at Lucia Ristorante. So, we decided to have our dinner in our room when we come back from “malling” instead. Great idea!

Hotel Celeste Makati - Waiter Lucia Ristorante

A waiter was sent up to our room to take our orders before we left.

We were also asked around what time we would be back from the mall so that Lucia Ristorante could have our dishes prepared just in time for our return. Amazing service!

So, off we went.

We didn’t want to stay too long at the mall since our family wanted to enjoy the hotel and spend more time there. We just visited a few stores and accompanied our little girl scour for some clothes.

After a good stroll around, we decided to head back to Hotel Celeste. It was dinnertime and we were all starting to get hungry. All I could think of was the delicious food waiting for me when we get back to our room… hahaha!

Upon returning, it only took a good few minutes before our pre-ordered dishes from Lucia Ristorante arrived. Impressive! Not only that… Hotel Celeste and Lucia Ristorante made sure to have our dishes steaming hot when served.

Again… if you’d like a full description of the dishes and a more detailed take on how they taste, check out my wife’s blog post.

After dinner, we had a wonderful time laughing and teasing each other over a good number of rounds of Scattergories.

Good thing our suite had a big table which we put to good use. A little after midnight, we decided to call it a night and retire for the evening.

We all had a very comfortable sleep. Hotel Celeste’s pillows and beddings were so soft that it felt like I was being pulled into it. I loved it!

Next day, as soon as I woke up, I was already looking forward to breakfast.

Breakfast is served at Lucia Bistro just opposite of Lucia Ristorante.

Each person gets to choose one (1) main meal from the breakfast menu while their other offerings such as cereal, bread, fruits and more are available on the buffet table.

After a satisfying and very filling meal, we went up to the Roof Deck to enjoy the view. Although Hotel Celeste doesn’t have amenities to offer, their really cool looking Roof Deck more than makes up for it.

This is the perfect place to hang out with friends and enjoy a few drinks.

Hotel Celeste Makati - View

It also has a great view of the long stretch of Makati Avenue.

After enjoying the morning air at the Roof Deck, we had to go back to our room and pack our things since check out time was at 12pm.

As they say, all good things must come to an end… but not without bringing home new and delightful memories of our Hotel Celeste staycation.

I’d like to personally thank the amazing and very kind people of Hotel Celeste for their warm hospitality and attention to detail.

So, is it possible to have a awesomely good time without actually leaving the metro? You betcha!

I love Hotel Celeste’s intimate kind of service… perhaps having only 30 rooms in their establishment helps them maintain a certain level of personal (and fast) service. Proximity to malls and stores are most definitely an advantage to anyone who enjoys a good stroll and a couple of drinks with friends and family.

Hotel Celeste Makati

Well, Hotel Celeste… if we were to base it on first impressions, I would most definitely come back with my family again in the near future. Cheers!
