Squidcam + Shopping + Savings

I love iPhonenography! Especially now that my iPhone 5S sports a better sensor. That means much better photos and videos for everyone to see!

Whenever I discover new accessories for the iPhone, especially photography add-ons, it just has to be mine. Hahaha! I’m sure you all have your own little obsessions, too. (Admit it…!)

Anyways, I’m just sharing this with you because a recent iPhone accessory I ordered 2 weeks ago finally arrived… and boy am I excited to use it!

Friends, I present to you the Squidcam! It’s a soft rubber iPhone case with “Lego-like” pegs at the back that you use to easily attach any of its awesome add-on lenses (Wide Angle, Fisheye and Macro).

It’s quite similar to the Olloclip except that the Squidcam’s various lenses attach to the pegs of its accompanyng rubber casing. The Olloclip, as aptly named, is attached by “clipping” it onto the iPhone’s top right corner.

Why did I get a Squidcam when I already have an Olloclip, you ask? Simply because, 1. I was really fascinated with it… and 2. I needed a secondary option in case clipping the Olloclip (and ultimately denting the iPhone’s screen protector) isn’t an option. But it’s more the former than the latter.

The Squidcam isn’t available anywhere in the Philippines. I’ve tried looking everywhere for a store or someone who might be selling this product locally but my relentless search only ended in disappointment.

Good thing Squidcam’s website accepts credit card payments. So, I was still in luck! Woohoo!

I immediately placed an order online using my trusty GCASH American Express Virtual Pay and had it delivered to my very own MyShoppingBox US address.

My SquidcamIn no time at all, MyShoppingBox received the package. And with only a couple of mouse clicks, I quickly facilitated the shipping of the item from MyShoppingBox straight to the Philippines… right to my doorstep. Woot! Woot!

Alas! It is here. My very own Squidcam! Something impossible to find here and most probably would’ve cost an arm and a leg if it did.

Precision iPhone accessories such as these normally go for around Php 3,500.00 – Php 4,000.00 when sold locally. So, I figured it was a blessing in disguise that I couldn’t find it here. Why? Because purchasing it online only cost me only a total of $69.00shipping fee included. Converted to our currency, that’s only Php 2,972.52! Thank God!

What about you, guys… have you already tried ordering online as well? If you haven’t yet, ’bout time you embraced it. You just might be pleasantly surprised to know that it’s safer and more secure than you think. Best of all, you save a hell of a lot more purchasing stuff online.

Why waste extra cash on outrageously marked up prices here when you can get them more affordably online? Plus, there are more choices and options. It’s definitely the way to go.

GCashNo credit card? No problem! Do what I do… get a GCASH American Express Virtual Pay. It’s fast, easy and safe. In fact, you can do it right now!

Well… gotta go! Time to take my Squidcam out for a spin and shoot some really awesome pics for Instagram and my blog.

Catcha later! :)
